Introduction-
Generally the duration of menstruation is 28 days. But sometimes it happens in 20 days and sometimes it happens in 45 days. Sometimes due to irregularity of menstruation, fertility i.e. the ability to conceive decreases. This menstruation has 2 important consequences- Every month, usually one mature egg is released from the ovaries, which leads to the development of only one embryo at a time. Preparing the endometrium for the establishment of the fertilized egg at the desired time of the month. Menstruation reveals the health of the uterus and it also reveals the health of the endocrine glands that control the ovaries and the pituitary gland. Anomalies of the reproductive system of a woman are also involved in the anomalies of excessive menstruation. There are some such anomalies. Stopping of Menstruation- If a woman has never menstruated (has not had menstruation), then such a condition is called primary amenorrhea. These endocrine abnormalities are mostly caused by abnormalities of the pituitary gland or hypothalamus or abnormal development of the eggs or uterus due to genetic reasons.
In the second type of amenorrhea (absence of menstruation), sometimes one or two menstrual periods in a woman's life are not normal. Such disturbances in menstruation in women are considered to be due to low or high body weight. Obesity can disorganize the ovarian system and thus menstruation stops due to excessive loss of body weight due to lack of appetite. But when menstruation is not related to body weight, then the cause is deficiency of pituitary and ovarian hormones. Amenorrhea can occur when strenuous athletic training continues regularly. Painful menstruation- Sometimes the symptoms of menstruation are so severe that many women are unable to do any work for 1-2 days. The reason for painful menstruation is not any local disease. In such a situation, the pain that arises is due to the contraction of the uterus associated with local anemia of the uterine muscles. Prostaglandins stimulate uterine contraction, but due to the presence of progesterone, the hormones of the ovaries are unable to perform this function. The level of these hormones is very high in the latter half of menstruation and the uterus does not contract. But in the absence of pregnancy, the level of progesterone decreases rapidly and the formation of prostaglandins increases. Due to this, the uterus contracts and sheds its cover, due to which menstruation comes with pain. Many symptoms of painful menstruation emerge such as headache, nausea, diarrhea, constipation and frequent urination etc. The second type of dysmenorrhoea is mostly related to pelvic (pelvic) pathology. However, in some cases it is also caused by uterine tumors, ovarian cysts, pelvic inflammatory diseases, endometriosis and intrauterine devices. Uterine bleeding (bleeding)- Missing menstruation on time, less amount of discharge, reduced menstrual discharge, frequent menstrual discharge, bleeding (bleeding) between two menstrual periods and bleeding (bleeding) even after the menstruation is over, all these abnormal menstrual conditions can be caused by impaired regulation of hormones, emotional imbalance or any tumor of the uterus. Premenstrual symptoms- It is a group of symptoms that arise due to the rapid physical and mental pain that arises before menstruation or sometimes along with menstruation. Usually such symptoms keep increasing rapidly till the beginning of menstruation and stop dramatically as soon as the discharge starts. Symptoms that occur before or during menstruation are swelling, weight gain, breast swelling and tenderness to touch, bloating, backache, joint pain, constipation, dry skin, physical fatigue and lethargy, excessive sleep, irritability, getting nervous easily, mental stress, insanity, headache, etc. Apart from this, symptoms like poor coordination and clumsiness and excessive desire to eat sweet or salty foods also occur. Menstruation is related to ovarian hormones due to which menstruation occurs on time. But these symptoms are not a direct result of the change in the nature of hormones and the root cause of the condition is also not known. Yoga Therapy- Yoga should be practiced during menstruation. This cures all types of diseases related to menstruation. Various Yoga for Diseases- Shatkriya (Hatha Yoga Kriya) Netikriya should be performed daily and Kunjal and Laghushankh Prakshalan Kriya should be practiced 3 times a week.
