Yoga For Stomach Ulcer Treatment

Introduction- Stomach ulcers are formed like volcanoes in the wall of the digestive tract which are in contact with gastric secretions. These ulcers occur when the normal mucous protective elements become disorganized or are suppressed by the intensity of gastric factors like acid and pepsin. These ulcers sometimes develop in the lower part of the food pipe, but mostly on the lesser curvature parts of the stomach, where they are called gastric ulcers. When these ulcers occur in the first part of the duodenum, then it is called duodenal ulcer. Cause- The main reason for the formation of ulcers in the stomach is the protection provided by the mucous wall of the stomach and duodenum and the reduced working capacity of the juices of the duodenum and the secretion of gastric juices in excess of its capacity. All the parts of the gastrointestinal tract that come in contact with gastric juice are the mucous glands of the lower food pipe, the mucous membrane lining of the stomach, the mucous membrane lining of the gastric glands, the deep glands of the gastric outlet that secrete mainly mucus, and finally the upper glands of the duodenum that secrete highly alkaline mucus. Substances that increase the amount of acidity in the body are smoking, alcohol, coffee, aspirin, some medicines and excessive stimulation of the vagus nerve and stimulating emotions. This disease is less common in women than in men. Ulcer can occur at any age, but duodenal ulcer mostly occurs in people between the ages of 30 to 55 years. Gastric ulcer is more common in people between the ages of 55 to 70 years. Ulcers occur in people who smoke and in people who take anti-inflammatory medicines for a long time. Ulcers are not related to alcohol or any other type of food. Rather, stress is considered to be an important cause of this disease, but the role of the patient in this is considered uncertain. Bleeding is the first problem of a common complication of peptic ulcer, while the second problem is a hole or cut in the wall of the stomach or duodenum. Due to the hole in the wall of the duodenum, bacteria and fully digested food reach the abdominal cavity (peritoneal cavity) and cause irritation on the outer wall of the stomach. The third problem is bleeding (flow of blood). When an abscess bursts and joins the blood-flowing tube, blood is destroyed at a rapid rate. Therefore, due to increased mental weakness, the patient is in a state of death. Curing diseases through yogic activities- Practice yogic activities to cure any type of ulcer in the stomach. Practice this yogic activity daily. Shatkriya (Hatha Yoga activities) Practice Neti and Ladhu Shankh Prakshalan activities. Yogic activities to strengthen the abdominal organs- Asanas: Practice asanas like Surya Namaskar, Pawan Muktasana, Shashankasana and Shavasana. Pranayama: Practice Bhramari and Nadi Shodhan Pranayama. Practice time: Practice this yoga activity for 25 minutes daily. Preksha Dhyan: While practicing yoga, meditate on white color in mind and gain knowledge of the whole body. Anupreksha (thoughts of mind): While practicing yoga, one should meditate on healing of wounds in mind. This gives relief from the disease. Food In the initial stage of this disease, consume only milk and fruit juices. Consume light liquid food and Khichdi. Avoidance Do not eat too much spicy and heavy food. Do not smoke and consume alcohol. Special- Practice all yoga activities carefully and practice only after taking advice from a yoga doctor. There is a method of Praksha Dhyana in which one should meditate on the whole body while imagining a white object. In Anupreksha, think in the mind- ´´The wounds on the walls of the digestive system are healing. Due to the flow of pure air in the body, the blood is getting cleaned. The wounds inside me are healing.´ Think like this in the mind.
