This disease - Excessive consumption of sour substances like oil, jaggery, pickles, garlic, onion and aphrodisiacs (such as eggs, meat, fish), eating late at night and sleeping immediately after eating or drinking hot milk at night and sleeping immediately, staying awake at night and sleeping during the day, tying the loincloth tightly (which keeps the genitals excited), accumulation of dirt/filth on the glans/head under the skin of the penis and itching etc. also causes this disease (nocturnal emission). It has also been often seen that after excessive masturbation, nocturnal emission starts even after giving up this bad habit/addiction.
What is the base background of this terrible disease? The truth is that this is a mental disease and for its occurrence, the mind is coloured with such sanskars. The gradual mental process of the process from sexual desire to nocturnal emission is based on sexual desire.
The growth of sexual desire is a word picture. Maharishi Yagyavalkya has given a very beautiful and attractive description of its subtle and basic reasons in the Ashtanga Maithuna chapter in his Smriti as follows.
1. Remembering the beauty, character, beauty etc. of the beloved and desired heroine again and again. Thinking about the poison of sexual desire is the first step for those who are moving towards nocturnal emission and loss of semen. Remembering and thinking about 'sexual desire' increases the lust.
2. Kirtan - chanting the gestures and qualities of the heroine like a mad woman, due to which when the thought of sexual desire makes its place in the mind, then one feels like talking about sex and reading obscene, erotic stories, novels or magazines of the film world decorated with such pictures that encourage sexual intercourse.
3. Sports- The minds of boys and girls are flooded with erotic literature and nude scenes of blue films in cinema halls, television, CD-VCR etc. as a result of which they develop tendencies of sexual play, touching hands and feet in fun, teasing, pinching, trying to embrace the other as much as possible, kissing the face, touching or tickling the private parts, giving signals/gestures with eyes, clothes etc.
4. Observation- Due to the restriction of parents and the tendency of fear, the above activities are done secretly. As a result of which the desire to watch erotic activities secretly awakens. Roaming around the mohalla/streets, roaming around the places of festivals and celebrations after drinking milk and watching her again and again. Sitting for hours waiting to have a glimpse of the beloved (Jhalak Dikhla Jaa), sometimes imagining her through inner vision. The tendency to keep such thoughts in the mind continuously gets encouraged.
5. Secret speech - Talking in secret about sex, secretly watching sexual relations/sports activities of men and women, having the desire to talk about sex in solitude and trying to immerse oneself in it whenever one gets such an opportunity. Expressing the heartfelt desire by making a chance private contact.
6. Sankalp - Thinking about passionate thoughts towards the beloved in her presence. Remaining alert towards sex in the Sankalp series.
7. Perseverance- Abandonment of right and wrong limits. The resolution of sex made in the mind awakens the tendency of perseverance and the desire for sex becomes so strong that by whatever means like Sama, Daam, Dand, Bhed, someone is prepared for sex by body, mind, money.
8. Action Retirement- By giving practical form to the desires/wishes of the mind, retirement is done by having sex.
The tendency of lust till no. 6 'resolve' makes the resolution of sex so strong that if there is no complete success in the business, then for self-satisfaction, retirement is done by taking recourse to masturbation, anal sex, animal sex, bed sex etc., but the unsatisfied sexual desire is expressed in the form of 'Swapna Dosh' only by having sex with an imaginary woman in the dream while sleeping at night.
Hence, each of the above mentioned parts of the 'Ashtanga' sex act seems to hide the sequence of 'Swan Dosh' in itself. Each of the reasons awakens the mental lust and leads to 'Swan Dosh'.
So! When a young man sees an erotic dream during sleep (mainly in semi-sleep state), then due to the activities of the dream, his penis actually gets erected and semen is discharged. Sometimes, under the influence of imagined coitus/intercourse or other erotic scenes, semen is discharged without erection. After the Swapna Dosh has occurred, his undergarments get soaked with semen and his eyes open. Sometimes, it is only after waking up in the morning that he comes to know about the Swapna Dosh.
