Almond poppy seed halwa

Ingredients- almond kernels 250 grams, poppy seeds 125 grams, wheat flour 1 bowl, sugar 250 grams, milk 1 cup, water 2 cups, pure ghee 1 bowl, saffron and cardamom as per taste.

Method-
soak almonds and poppy seeds in cold water overnight.
Peel almonds in the morning and grind them finely on a mortar and pestle or in a mixer. Heat ghee in a pan and add ground almonds and poppy seeds and fry on low flame till it turns pink. When the fragrance starts coming, add flour and fry while stirring and when ghee starts releasing, understand that it is cooked. Boil one cup of milk and two cups of water in a pan. When it starts boiling, pour it into the cooked halwa and cook by increasing the flame and stirring it. Then add sugar, when it thickens, take it off. Add 2-4 drops of milk to saffron and grind it. Grind cardamom seeds finely and add both of them and mix them by stirring. When it cools down a bit, serve it in hot plates. This halwa is excellent in refreshing and strengthening the mind. Therefore, this dish should be eaten by students, people doing mental work and people with weak mind in winters.

Almond powder

Ingredients - Almond kernel 200 grams, acacia gum 50 grams, sugar powder 250 grams.

Method - Soak almonds in water and remove the peel and grind them after drying.
Fry the gum in ghee and when it swells, take it out and grind it finely. Now mix them with sugar powder and consume it pure. Take 2 spoons (about 10 grams) every morning with 1 cup of lukewarm milk and eat food after 3 hours. Take the second dose two hours after dinner, in the quantity of just 1 spoon (about 5 grams), with milk one hour before going to bed. Use this for 2-3 months. It is very beneficial.

In winter season, sore throat, cough, tonsil pain, throat pain often occur. In such a case, mix half a spoon of salt, baking soda and less than a quarter spoon of powdered alum in a glass of warm water and mix it. Gargle with this three times daily.
