Introduction- High blood pressure is the most common disease affecting the heart and blood vessels. The normal blood pressure of any healthy person is considered to be 80 to 120. Borderline high blood pressure, called diastolic pressure, is considered to be 85 to 90. Mild hypertension is considered to be diastolic pressure between 91 to 104, while moderate hypertension is considered to be diastolic pressure between 105 to 115. A diastolic pressure of 116 or more is considered to be high blood pressure. Systolic hypertension alone is systolic pressure and those whose distolic pressure is less than 90 have a systolic pressure of more than 160. Till now, the treatment of hypertension and determination of category was mainly done according to the calculation of blood pressure. But it has already been discovered that as diastolic and systolic blood pressures increase, the morbidity and mortality rate increases and after the age of 50, the systolic blood pressure of any person is a good indicator of his problems. In theory, hypertension is caused by increased cardiac output or total peripheral resistance or both. But in reality, the main abnormality in clear cases of hypertension is increased peripheral resistance and this resistance is caused by abnormal enlargement of the artery cavity. This is considered to be the cause of hypertension in more than 95 percent of people and in such a situation it is called essential hypertension or primary hypertension. The remaining percentage is called secondary or secondary hypertension. This hypertension is known to be caused by basic causes, kidney diseases and excessive secretion of adrenal glands. High blood pressure causes many types of diseases. This disease affects the heart the most. The person who has this disease has to pump blood in the left ventricle against the increased pressure of the arteries, which leads to an increase in the muscle mass. In the initial stage of high blood pressure, it helps the heart to function as a pump, but gradually the structure and characteristics of the heart muscle cells start changing. Due to this, the heart's ability to contract reduces and sometimes the heart stops. Due to high blood pressure, the risk of arteriosclerosis and heart attacks, kidney and heart attacks, vascular disease (blockage in the veins) or rupture of the veins increases. If high blood pressure persists all the time, the cerebral vessels are damaged. In such a situation, the vessels that supply blood to the brain are stressed more. When more stress is put on the vascular tubes, they become weak and bleeding occurs in the brain. In this way, high blood pressure first damages the brain and then damages the kidneys. Persistent high blood pressure narrows the cavity of the arteries that supply blood to the kidneys, due to which the right amount of blood does not reach the kidneys. In such a situation, the kidneys secrete renin to protect themselves. But this increases the blood pressure (high blood pressure) and the problem becomes more serious. Due to the lack of the right amount of blood reaching the kidneys, its various cells start getting destroyed, due to which there is a possibility of other types of diseases. In this way, high blood pressure causes many types of diseases and also increases the speed of breathing. Treatment of high blood pressure through yoga- Blood pressure can be controlled through yoga.
