Properties Of Sonapatha And Ayurvedic Treatments From It

 


Introduction

Sonapatha trees are found everywhere except the western dry regions of India. The bark of the root of Sonapatha is used in Brihat Panchmool. It is available at the grocers' shops.
Sonapatha trees are 15-25 feet tall, if the conditions are favorable and suitable, trees up to 50 feet tall are also seen like Bakayan. In some regions, Alenatus Excelsa Ghoranimb is used in place of Arlu or Shyona, but in reality Ghoranimb is a plant of another species. The description given here is called Oryzyllum Indicum in Latin.

Properties

Sonapatha is hot and is a cough (phlegm) and Vata pacifier. Its bark is a pain reliever when applied externally, it relieves swelling, boils and pimples. Being spicy and hot in its juice, it increases burning sensation, digestion, digestion, appetite and kills worms.
Apart from this, it is astringent, diuretic, removes phlegm, removes fever and is bitter and nutritious. It is especially used in diseases caused by phlegm and wind or amoeba. Its use is very effective in general weakness and weakness caused by stomach disorders.

Treatment for various diseases

1. Weakness due to childbirth:

Women who have severe pain for 4-6 days during menstruation, take about half a gram of Sonapatha bark powder, same amount of dry ginger powder and same amount of jaggery and mix all three and make 3 pills.
Taking these pills with Dashmool decoction in the morning, afternoon and evening will miraculously cure all the pains. By giving it continuously for 10-15 days, all the pains and weakness of women are cured.

2. Poor appetite:

Soak 20-30 grams of Sonapatha bark in cold or 200 ml hot water for 4 hours, then filter it and drink it, consuming it twice a day ends poor appetite (loss of appetite).


3. Earache:

Grind Sonapatha bark finely with water and keep it in sesame oil and add double the amount of water to the oil and cook on low flame. When only oil is left, filter it and store it in a bottle, pouring 2-3 drops of this oil in the ear ends the pain caused by vata-kapha pitta.


4. Syphilis:

Soak 40 to 50 grams of powder of finely ground dry bark of Sonapatha in water for 4 hours, then grind its bark and after filtering, mix sugar candy in water and consume it morning and evening for 7 days.
Eat wheat roti, ghee and sugar in diet. Take bath for 7 days. On the eighth day take bath with decoction of neem leaves and stop abstinence.

5. Breathing and cough:

Licking 1 gram powder of Sonpatha bark with ginger juice and honey gives relief in cough.


Consuming 2 grams powder of Sonpatha gum with little milk cures cough and asthma.

6. Diarrhoea:

Diarrhea (diarrhea) stops by giving 2 teaspoon juice of Sonpatha bark and Kutaj bark to the patient.

Diarrhea (diarrhea) stops by mixing juice of sprain in the juice obtained by grinding the root bark of Sonpatha and Indrajau leaves and giving it to the patient in the amount of 1 teaspoon cures diarrhea (diarrhea) and amoebic dysentery (ordinary diarrhea).


Grind the bark and leaves of Sonapatha finely and make a tablet. Wrap it with Banyan leaves and put it in an earthen pot. When the soil gets cooked and turns red, take it out. When it cools down, press it and extract the juice.
Drinking 20 ml of this juice in the morning and evening provides relief from bloody diarrhea etc. for many days.

Feeding 2 to 5 grams of Sonapatha gum powder with a little milk to the patient cures dysentery (normal diarrhea).


7. Arthritis (Gout or Joint Pain):


In arthritis (joint pain) and vata-related diseases, making a decoction of Sonapatha root and dry ginger and drinking 50 ml of it 3 times a day is beneficial.

Consuming Sonapatha bark powder in the amount of about one-fourth of 1 gram 3 times a day and heating Sonapatha leaves and tying them on the joints is very beneficial in arthritis (joint pain).


8. Breathlessness and cough:

1 gram powder of Sonpatha bark mixed with ginger juice and honey gives relief from cough.

2 gram powder of Sonpatha gum mixed with little milk cures cough and asthma.

9. Diarrhoea:


Diarrhea (diarrhea) stops by giving 2 teaspoon juice of Sonpatha bark and Kutaj bark to the patient.


Diarrhea (diarrhea) and amoebic dysentery (normal diarrhea) ends by mixing the juice of Moch in the juice obtained by grinding the root bark of Sonpatha and Indrajau leaves and giving it to the patient in the amount of 1 teaspoon.


Grind the bark and leaves of Sonpatha finely and make a tablet and wrap it with banyan leaves and put it in an earthen pot. When the soil gets cooked and turns red, take it out and when it cools down, press it and extract the juice.
Drinking 20 ml of this juice in the morning and evening provides relief from bloody diarrhea for many days.

Feeding 2 to 5 grams of Sonapatha gum powder with a little milk to the patient cures common diarrhea.

10. Malaria fever:


Make a small cup of wood of Sonapatha, keep water in it at night and drink that water after waking up in the morning.
This remedy cures all types of fevers like periodic fever, Ekantara, Tijari, Chauthiyan etc.

Take Sonapatha, dry ginger, kernel of wood apple fruit, anardana, atis in equal quantity and grind them. Boil 10 grams of this medicine in half a kilogram of water, when 125 ml of water is left, then filter it and give it to the patient in the morning, afternoon and evening, all types of fever and diarrhea are cured.


11. Special treatment of jaundice with Sonapatha:

Remove 150-200 grams of fresh peel of Sonapatha, grind it, soak it in 1 glass of water at night. In the morning, on an empty stomach, make powder of 2 camphor tablets and consume it.
After 15 minutes, filter and drink the water of Sonapatha bark. After 2 hours, have breakfast or food. Consume it for 3 days according to the condition of the patient.

12. Method of use according to age:

First mix camphor powder in water.
After 15 minutes, take Sonapatha water. Have breakfast or food 2 hours after taking it.

13. For diarrhea:

By wrapping the paste (mixture) of the bark of Sonapatha tree with Padmakesar, Gambhari and lotus leaves and cooking the juice obtained, cooling it and drinking it with honey in the morning and evening, loose motion (diarrhea) stops.


14. Ear discharge:

Clean the ears and put the oil made by cooking the bark of Sonapatha tree in the ears, drop-by-drop, and then pour it in the ears, pus discharge from the ears is cured.

15. Inflammation of the root of the ear:


Grind the seeds of Irimed and Sonapatha together and apply on the ear inflammation to get relief.

16. Burns:

Taking equal quantity of powder of Priyangu, Khas, Pathani Lodh, Sugandbala, Senna and Sonapatha and mixing it with turmeric juice and applying it on the body completely removes the burning sensation.
