Introduction
Rosewood is used in furniture and houses. Planted or natural Rosewood trees are found all over India. An oil is obtained from the wood and seeds of this tree which is used in medicines.Properties
Rosewood is bitter, pungent, causes swelling, heat in semen, causes abortion, cures leprosy, white spots, vomiting, stomach worms, removes bowel disease, boils, impurities in the blood and destroys phlegm. Rosewood is bitter, hot, cures bowel disease, hiccups, swelling and erysipelas. Rosewood essence is lubricating, pungent, bitter, astringent, purifies evil wounds, cures stomach worms, mucus, and leprosy. Shisham, Arjun, Tad, Chandan, Saradigan, cures leprosy, cures diabetes and jaundice, purifies phlegm and fat. Shisham, Palash, Triphala, Chitrak, all these are fat destroyers and destroys sperms, cures piles, diabetes, jaundice and removes sugar.
Treatment for various diseases
1. Urinary incontinence:
In severe pain due to urinary incontinence (difficulty while urinating), giving 50-100 ml decoction of Shisham leaves to the patient 3 times a day is beneficial.
2. Pyuria:
In Lalameha and Pyuria, giving 10-15 ml juice of Shisham leaves to the patient 3 times a day is beneficial.
3. Cholera:
Making pills of rosewood with aromatic and spicy medicines and giving them in cholera provides relief.
4. Cholera:
Mixing juice of rosewood leaves and honey and putting its drops in the eyes cures sore eyes.
5. Swelling of the breasts:
By heating rosewood leaves and tying them on the breasts and washing the breasts with its decoction, the swelling of the breasts reduces.
6. Burning of the abdomen:
Giving 10-15 ml of rosewood leaf juice to the patient is beneficial in burning of the abdomen. Drinking 10-15 ml of rosewood leaf juice in the morning and evening is also beneficial in jaundice.
7. Burning in the abdomen:
In all types of fever, mix 20 ml of rosewood essence, 320 ml water, 160 ml milk and keep it for heating. If milk is left, give it to the patient 3 times a day to get relief.
8. Gruhsi (Joint pain):
Make coarse powder of 10 kg of rosewood bark and boil it in 23 and a half liters of water, when 8th part of water is left, filter it in a cloth after it cools down and then put it on the stove and thicken it. Taking this thick substance in the amount of 10 ml with ghee mixed milk 3 times a day for 21 days cures Gruhsi disease (joint pain).
9. Blood disorders:
Soak 1 kg of sawdust of rosewood in 3 liters of water, then boil it, when the water is reduced to half, filter it, add 750 grams of sawdust to it and make syrup, this syrup purifies the blood.
Blood disorders are cured by making syrup of 3 to 6 grams of sawdust of rosewood and giving it to the patient.
10. Dysmenorrhoea (pain in menstruation):
3 to 6 grams of rosewood powder or 50 to 100 ml decoction twice a day is beneficial in dysmenorrhoea disease.
11. Phlegm:
10 to 15 drops of rosewood oil mixed with hot milk in the morning and evening eliminates phlegm.
12. Dysentery:
6 grams of green rosewood leaves and 6 grams of mint leaves mixed in water and drinking like thandai is beneficial in dysentery.
13. In wounds:
Applying oil made from rosewood leaves on wounds heals them quickly. Even its use is beneficial in wounds of leprosy.
14. Leucorrhoea:
Mix 40-40 grams of rosewood leaves and flowers, 40 grams of cardamom, 20 grams of sugar candy and 16 grams of turmeric powder. Grinding black peppers together and drinking it provides relief in leucorrhoea.
15. In semen related diseases:
Keep water in an earthen pot at night and cover it with green and soft leaves of rosewood. In the morning, squeeze and filter them and eat it after mixing it with sugar candy. It provides relief in semen related diseases.
16. Leprosy:
Applying rosewood oil or oil made from rosewood leaves provides relief in leprosy.
17. Nerve pain:
Make a paste of rosewood root and leaves and rock salt in equal quantity in buttermilk and apply it to cure nerve related diseases.
