Introduction
The red chilli plant is 60 to 90 cm high and its leaves are long. Its flowers are white and the colour of the leaves is green. If the fruit is raw then it is green and when ripe it is light yellow and red. There are many seeds in a chilli which are exactly like the seeds of brinjal. The taste of red chilli is pungent and it is quite famous. Pickle is made from raw and ripe chilli and it is used as a spice.
Properties
Red chilli is hot, dry, irritable and anti-poison. It is also beneficial for diseases like stomach diseases, wounds, loss of appetite, hoarseness, indigestion, metal coming in urine etc. It is spicy and sharp to eat and increases the salivary glands and produces heat inside the stomach. Consuming it in large quantity stimulates the heart and blood vessels and increases the amount of urine. Quantity: 2 grams.
Harmful effects
Eating too much red chilli is harmful for people with pitta nature. It can damage the bladder, stomach and lungs.
Treatment for various diseases
1. Urticaria:
Mixing 5 to 10 drops of chilli oil in 3 grams of isabgol husk and eating it with water relieves burning sensation in urine and other problems.
2. Stomach ache:
Mix 1 gram chilli powder with 100 grams jaggery and make a tablet and eat it, this cures stomach ache.
Eating half gram red chilli with 2 grams of dry ginger powder relieves stomach ache.
3. Loss of appetite:
The person who is not feeling hungry due to weak bile should mix 5 to 30 drops of oil of chilli seeds in batasha and eat it. This increases appetite.
4. Cholera:
Separate the seeds of red chilli and grind its peel finely, then mix some camphor, asafoetida and honey in it and make 240 mg tablets and eat it. This cures cholera.
After every vomiting and diarrhea in cholera, the patient should be given 1 teaspoon of chilli oil. By giving this three to four times, cholera ends. After giving opium and roasted asafoetida tablets, giving decoction of chilli cures cholera.
Grind red chilli finely, make tablets like jhadber and keep them and give 1 tablet and 7 cloves every 1 hour to the cholera patient, this cures cholera.
5. Swar Bhang (Hoarseness):
Mix almonds and sugar in a little powder of red chilli and make small pills and eat them daily. This cures hoarseness.
6. Swar Bhang (Hoarseness):
Putting 1 drop of oil of chilli seeds in batasha and eating it with milk or lassi is very beneficial in diabetes.
7. Back pain:
Massage with chilli oil and applying paste of its burnt fruits gives relief in back pain and thigh pain.
8. Back pain:
Applying chilli oil in diphtheria and throat pain cures the disease.
9. In case of dog bite:
Grind chilli with water and apply it on the dog bitten area, after some time the poison comes out and pain and burning sensation also goes away. This does not cause pus and pus formation in the wound. Applying chilli oil on itching, swelling of joints, dog bites and wasp bites provides relief.
10. Boils and itching:
In case of boils and itching that occur during rainy season, consuming chilli oil cures them quickly.
In summer season, rashes or pimples appear on the body. For this, chilli oil should be applied. It provides relief from itching and boils also get cured.

Mixing 1 gram of chilli powder in 20 ml of lukewarm water and taking it 2 to 3 times a day relieves the intoxication of alcohol and removes confusion. This also provides relief in syncope.
12. Rheumatism:
Massage with chilli oil is also beneficial in rheumatism.
13. Throat diseases:
Make a decoction by adding 10 grams of ground chilli in 1 liter of water. Rinsing with this decoction cures mouth ulcers and throat wounds.
14. Eye pain:
Make a thick paste of red chilli and apply it on the nail of the big toe. If there is pain in both the eyes, apply it on both the big toes. This cures eye pain.
15. Identification of snake bite:
Eating red chilli on snake bite prevents the chilli from feeling bitter and snake bite can be identified by this.
16. Scorpion bite:
Grind red chilli and apply it to get relief from the burning sensation caused by scorpion sting.
17. Bedbugs:
Boil red dry chillies in water, then sprinkle this water on the place where there are bedbugs, this prevents them from coming again.
18. Fever:
If the child is at risk of paralysis of the leg due to exposure to air during fever, then mixing oil with fine powder of chilli and massaging with it is beneficial.
19. Malaria fever:
Grind 3 pieces of red chilli with its stalk in water, wrap it in the ring finger of the left hand, tie it with a muslin cloth and keep pouring water on the cloth so that it remains wet. Do this method at least 2 hours before the fever comes. This prevents malaria fever.
Toothache: Grind red chilli finely, dissolve it in water and filter it. Heat that water slightly and put 2 to 4 drops in the ear. Remember, if the pain is in the left tooth, put it in the right ear and if the pain is in the right tooth, put it in the left ear.
Mouth ulcers:
By dissolving red chilli in water or making a decoction and drinking it, mouth ulcers and wounds heal quickly.
