Benefits Of Ridge Gourd Juice

 


Ridge gourd is a type of vegetable and it is cultivated everywhere in India. People who like to eat green vegetables consume ridge gourd in large quantities. Usually people use ridge gourd only as a vegetable and do not know that ridge gourd is also used as a medicine. It is stated in Ayurveda that ridge gourd is easy to digest, it is a little hot for the stomach. It calms phlegm and bile, increases Vata. It heals wounds, cleanses the stomach, increases appetite and is good for the heart. Not only this, it is also useful in leprosy, jaundice, swelling, gas, worms, gonorrhea, head diseases, wounds, stomach diseases.

Ridge gourd vegetable is very tasty and nutritious. Ridge gourd, which comes around summer, has many such properties, which make it a perfect vegetable for your health. Eating Ridge gourd vegetable helps in the production of blood in the body and increases the amount of hemoglobin in the blood.
Apart from this, eating it increases the body's immunity. The special thing about Ridge gourd is that it contains a lot of water due to which it is easy to digest and protects the stomach from many diseases. Ridge gourd is considered a panacea for stones in Ayurveda.

Medicinal properties of Ridge gourd juice

Beneficial in head disease: Knead wheat flour with the juice of Ridge gourd leaves and make balls of it and crush them. Add ghee and sugar to it and make it like a laddu.
Eating it is beneficial in a head disease called Anant Vata. Grinding raw bitter Ridge gourd and applying it on the temples also provides relief from headache. The benefits of Ridge gourd provide great relief in headache.

For eye diseases: Grinding bitter luffa seeds in sweet luffa oil and applying it to eyes like kajal cures black cataract.
Grind luffa leaves and extract its juice. Applying 1-2 drops of it to eyes provides relief in various eye diseases.

Use it for kidney stones: If your stones are small or it is the beginning of stones, then consuming luffa gradually dissolves the stones and they disappear.
Luffa contains a lot of fiber. Apart from this, it contains vitamin C, riboflavin, zinc, thiamine, iron and magnesium, so eating it cures kidney stones as well as other diseases.

Beneficial in liver diseases: Regular consumption of luffa is very beneficial for health.
Luffa is considered very useful for blood purification and it is also beneficial for the liver. If 2 drops of Ridge gourd juice is put in the nose of the patient suffering from jaundice, then yellow coloured liquid comes out of the nose. Due to which jaundice ends quickly.

In weight loss: A Ridge gourd contains about 95 percent water and only 25 percent calories. Due to which weight does not increase. It also contains very limited amount of saturated fat and cholesterol which helps in weight loss.


Diabetes:
Ridge gourd helps in reducing the level of sugar in both blood and urine. Therefore it is beneficial for diabetes patients. Insulin-like peptides are found in Ridge gourd. Therefore it is considered as a good remedy for diabetes control. Therefore, its use as a vegetable is beneficial in diabetes.
