Introduction
Rasaut is pungent and yellow in colour. It ripens pus. Mixing alum in Rasaut, grinding it in water and applying it on the swelling of the eyes cures the swelling of the eyes. Rasaut is beneficial in diseases caused by cold. Its use cures the wounds of the urinary tract. Rubbing Rasaut in water and applying it on the swelling cures the wound, Kamal Bay also cures it. Its consumption is from 1 gram to 3 grams.
Properties
Rasaut is bitter, poisonous and beneficial for the eyes. It is hot, chemical, pungent and cures the disorders like wounds etc.
Treatment of various diseases
1. Eye diseases:
Making a paste of rock salt, myrobalan, alum and opium with Rasout and applying it around the eyes is beneficial.
2. Mouth ulcers:
Heating Rasout with honey and applying it on mouth ulcers is beneficial.
Taking Rasout in the quantity of one-fourth of 1 gram 3 times a day on an empty stomach or 2 hours before or after eating food is beneficial. Keep in mind that after taking it, sleep covered with a bedsheet. After some time you will feel thirsty and nervous, do not worry, do not drink water. You will feel weak after sweating. Use rice water or milk after 1 hour.
3. Vincent's angina:
Mixing Rasout, camphor and butter and applying it on tonsils gives quick relief.
4. Eye ulcers:
By rubbing Rasaut in the milk of a woman with child and applying it like kajal in the eyes for a few days, the wounds and ulcers of the eyes are completely cured.
5. Throat diseases:
By rubbing Rasaut and mixing it with rose water and applying it in the eyes, the redness of the eyes due to heat is cured.
By rubbing Rasaut in water and applying it, the swelling of the eyelids is cured.
6. Throat diseases:
Consuming Rasaut in the amount of 5 to 20 grams with butter in the morning and evening is very beneficial in pleurisy (lung diseases).
7. Anal ulcers:
Grind Rasaut with water and apply it on the anus of the child. It is beneficial in anal ulcers.
Take 1 gram to 3 grams of Rasaut and mix it in butter or cream. Feed this mixture to the child every morning and evening and apply its ointment around the anus of the child. This cures the anal ache of children.
8. Anal ache (when the anus ripens):
Mixing Rasout, Nagarmotha and Lodhra in honey and applying it on the gums and rubbing it on the gums cures all gum diseases.
9. Mouth ulcers:
Mixing honey in Rasout and keeping it inside the mouth cures the rashes and mouth sores.
10. Contraception:
Grind Rasout, Haritaki, Amalaki in the amount of 6-6 grams and filter it and consume 3-3 grams with water in the morning and evening for 3 days continuously after menstruation, pregnancy does not occur for 3 years.
11. Contraception:
Grind Rasout and mix it with honey and put it drop by drop in the ear cures ear ache.
12. Diarrhea:
Make equal quantity of Rasout, mango seed and Peepal etc. by grinding them and giving them with half gram of honey, diarrhoea in children is cured.
13. Piles (hemorrhoids):
Mix 5 gram Rasout, 50 gram Chhoti Harar and 50 gram Pomegranate tree bark and grind them to make powder. Drinking 5 gram of this powder daily with water in the morning stops bleeding in hemorrhoids.
Grind Rasout, camphor and neem seeds with water and apply it on piles warts, they dry up.
Eating 3 gram Rasout and 3 gram Ajwain together cures piles.
Taking Rasout daily in the quantity of half gram to 2 gram provides relief from the disease.
14. Ear Discharge:
Grind Rasout with woman's milk and mix honey and ghee in it and put it in the ear to stop pus discharge with bad smell.
15. Sprue:
Grind 50 grams of Rasout coarsely and soak it in 250 ml water for 1 hour, then mash it, filter it and cook it on fire. When it becomes thick after cooking, then make pills like black pepper. Consuming 5-5 pills every 4 hours with buttermilk (lassi) cures the disease of sprue diarrhoea (aav diarrhoea).
In case of Pitta Sprue, take Rasout, Atis, Indrayava, Dhai flowers in equal quantity and grind them finely. Consuming 2 pinches of this powder with cow's buttermilk (lassi) cures the disease of the patient of sprue diarrhoea.
16. Injury:
Applying paste of Lodhra on swelling caused due to injury, sprain or trauma is beneficial and reduces swelling.
17. Ear root inflammation:
Applying paste of Rasout on ear inflammation is beneficial.
18. Fistula:
Fistula is cured by grinding Rasout, both turmeric, majith, neem leaves, nishoth, tejbal finely and applying it on fistula.
19. Leucorrhoea:
Mixing Rasout and lac in goat milk and drinking it cures menorrhagia.
Drinking Rasout and amaranth root with rice water provides relief in leucorrhoea.
