Introduction
Phalsa trees are also grown in gardens. Phalsa has been used in Ayurveda since ancient times. Phalsa is considered to be an excellent nutritious tonic. Consumption of Phalsa during summer is beneficial for people of all ages (young, children, old, men and women). Phalsa makes the body healthy and strong.
Properties
Ripe Phalsa removes bile, burning sensation, blood disorders, fever, tuberculosis and gas. Ripe Phalsa stops stool and is nutritious. Unripe Phalsa is bile-producing, small and gas-destroying and removes bile and phlegm. Phalsa removes contaminated stool from the body. Removes heat and dryness of the brain. Strengthens the heart, stomach and liver. It is beneficial in burning sensation in urine, gonorrhea and white discharge in women (leucorrhoea). Eating well-ripe phalsa is beneficial in stomach and chest heat, restlessness, seminal discharge and nocturnal emission (nightfall).
Treatment of various diseases
1. Loss of appetite:
Eating phalsa by adding rock salt and black pepper is cured.
2. Burning:
Burning of the body is relieved by drinking sherbet of phalsa.
3. Burning in the body:
In case of burning sensation in the body, eating ripe phalsa mixed with sugar provides relief.
4. Heart disease:
Drinking juice of ripe phalsa mixed with water, dry ginger and sugar is beneficial in heart diseases and bile disorders.
5. In case of heat stroke:
Soak 500 grams of ripe phalsa in half a liter of water for 3-4 hours. After this, mash it and filter it with a cloth, then add 500 grams of sugar to it, boil it and make sherbet and store it in clean bottles. Consuming it by adding water in summers gives coolness, creates appetite and also protects from the wrath of heat stroke.
6. Thirst:
Drinking the juice of ripe phalsa mixed with water cures the disease of thirst.
7. Hiccups:
By consuming phalsa, the phlegm melts and comes out. It also gives relief in hiccups and respiratory problems.
8. In case of throat disease:
Gargling with the bark of phalsa gives relief in throat diseases.
9. Difficulty in urination:
Drinking the decoction of the bark of phalsa cures the disease of dysuria (difficulty in urination) and gonorrhoea.
10. Knee pain:
Applying a paste of the bark of the Phalsa tree relieves physical pain. Its application also provides relief in arthritis. Consuming a decoction of the bark of the Phalsa tree cures arthritis.
11. Weakness of semen:
Eating ripe Phalsa cures the weakness of the semen.
12. Agnimandya (indigestion):
Consuming raw Phalsa cures diseases like Agnimandya (loss of appetite), diarrhea, dysentery, etc.
13. To remove the dead child in the womb:
Applying a paste of the root of the Phalsa tree on the navel, abdomen (lower part of the navel) and vagina of a woman brings out the dead child.
14. Heart diseases:
By mixing water in the juice of ripe phalsa, adding sugar and a little powder of dry ginger and drinking it as syrup, Pitta Vikaar or Pitta Prakop is cured. This syrup is beneficial for heart diseases.
By consuming ripe phalsa, the body becomes healthy (strong and powerful). It is also very beneficial in heart diseases and hematemesis.
15. Pimples:
By applying paste of leaves and buds of phalsa, pimples are cured.
16. Heat:
By consuming syrup of phalsa fruit in the morning and evening, heat is removed and one gets relief from burning sensation.
