Introduction

Fenugreek is cultivated in almost all the states. Vegetable is made from fenugreek leaves. Its seeds are used a lot in various dishes for diet and as a medicine. Fenugreek flowers and fruits grow in the months of January to March.
Fenugreek plants are one foot tall. Its leaves are small and round. Fenugreek seeds are called fenugreek seeds. It is also found in forests. Fenugreek found in forests has less quality. Eating fenugreek vegetable purifies the blood, drinking fenugreek flour mixed with buttermilk is beneficial in arthritis, its consumption removes Vayu (gas), Kapha (phlegm) and fever (fever). It removes stomach worms, pain, joint pain (rheumatism), gas lump in the stomach, back pain and physical pain.
It is very beneficial for the heart. Fenugreek has the power to increase digestion and libido. It removes weakness of women, gives strength and increases appetite. If there is any deficiency in the uterus after the birth of the child (prasti), the uterus has not contracted properly, then eating cooked fenugreek is beneficial. Fenugreek laddus are consumed in diarrhea, indigestion (indigestion), anorexia (lack of appetite) and arthritis (joint pain). Fenugreek is very useful as a home remedy.

Fenugreek destroys Vata (gas), Kapha (phlegm) and fever, removes hematemesis and anorexia, increases appetite and stops stool.
Fenugreek is beneficial for the heart and strengthens it. It destroys cough, swelling, flatulence, piles, worms and semen, induces urination, restarts stopped menstruation, softens the nature, is beneficial in cold-related diseases, epilepsy, paralysis and paralysis etc. Fenugreek decoction removes ear pain. Fenugreek is a uterine constrictor, removes breast and labor pain. Fenugreek increases appetite and is very beneficial for diseases like impotence, weakness, arthritis (joint pain), diabetes, pediatrics, constipation, insomnia (less sleep), obesity, dysentery and burning sensation etc.

Fenugreek is smooth and heavy.
According to scientific opinion, on analysing the chemical composition of fenugreek, it is found that fenugreek gall contains 81.8% water, 1.01% fiber, 0.9% fat, 16.19 mg iron per 100 grams and small amounts of calcium, phosphorus and vitamins A, B and C. Fenugreek seeds contain 25% phosphoric acid, choline and trigonelline alkaloids, gum, lecithin, fixed oil, albumen protein and yellow colour pigments. Dried panchaang contains up to 16% protein. Due to its special property of reducing the amount of glucose in blood and urine, it is very beneficial in diabetes. Fenugreek seeds mainly contain volatile and fixed oil, protein, cellulose, starch, sugar, mucilage, minerals, alkaloids and vitamins. The odorous bitter taste of the seeds is due to the presence of `oleibergin´ in it. According to a research, its seeds contain 7.0 to 11.0 percent water, 27.7 to 38.6 percent crude protein, 3.4 to 6.8 percent minerals, 5.2 to 8.2 percent petroleum ether, 16.6 to 24.8 percent alcohol and 0.2 to 2.3 percent acid insoluble ash. Fenugreek seeds contain high amounts of vitamin A, C and niacin.

Harmful effects

People who are hot in nature and suffer from bleeding from any part of the body, such as bloody piles, bleeding from the nose (nosebleed), bleeding in urine, excessive bleeding during menstruation and bleeding for many days, etc., should use fenugreek less and cautiously during the hot summer season.
Fenugreek has a hot effect. Therefore, it is more beneficial to consume it during the winter season. Eating fenugreek in large quantity increases bile, so it should be consumed according to the quantity.

Treatment of various diseases

1. Stomach ache and appetite:

Consuming fenugreek seeds with warm water cures stomach ache, improves appetite and provides relief from back pain.


2. Stomach cold and gas problems:


Eating pakodas made of green fenugreek leaves cures stomach cold and gas problems.

3. Injury and swelling:

Grinding its leaves and applying a paste provides relief from pain. Tying a poultice of fenugreek leaves removes swelling due to injury.


4. Dandruff and dryness of hair:


Grinding fenugreek seeds in water and applying a paste on hair before sleeping cures dandruff and dryness.

5. Cold and Cough:

Eating fenugreek leaves vegetable in the morning and evening and consuming its seeds with 1 spoon of hot milk in the morning and evening provides relief from all the problems of cold and cough.

Those who have complaints of cold and cough, get benefit by consuming fenugreek vegetable as much as possible. It is beneficial for weak persons.

6. Sore throat, pain, tonsils:


Gargling with fenugreek seeds decoction 3-4 times a day provides relief in sore throat, pain and tonsils.


7. Increase in breast size:


If a woman's breasts have remained underdeveloped, then consuming fenugreek vegetable and fenugreek seeds powder in the amount of 1 teaspoon regularly in the morning and evening will increase the size of the breasts. Women who have less milk in their breasts can also benefit by using it.
