Introduction
Cucumber is a species of cucumber which is green in colour and is longer and thinner than cucumber. Cucumber is eaten raw along with its peel. Cucumber has a vine which is planted in the fields. It is cultivated in almost every season but the cucumber grown in summer season is the best. Cucumber is easily digested and increases digestive power.
Properties
Cucumber increases appetite and calms the mind. Its consumption is beneficial in diarrhea. It calms down the heat and removes unconsciousness. Using ripe cucumber calms down the heat and increases digestive power (agnivardhak). It removes the defects caused by bile. Consuming it in excess can cause Vata fever and Kapha.

Consuming cucumber in excess can cause gas.

Eating cucumber or drinking its juice reduces the intoxication of alcohol.
Eating cucumber or drinking its juice cures pyorrhea.
Cucumber makes the skin smooth.
Apply cucumber juice on the face, the spots will be cleared.

Cucumber is a hair enhancer. Cucumber contains silicon and sulfur in high quantities which increases hair. Wash hair with cucumber juice, mix carrot and spinach juice in it and drink, hair will grow. If all these are not available then drink whatever is available among these, it makes nails healthy.
