Introduction Dhatura plants are found almost everywhere and are not easily available. Black Dhatura bears white flowers which are round in shape of bell. Its leaves are soft and tender. Its fruits are round like apples and there are small thorns on the fruit. Dhatura is of four types- black, white, blue and yellow. The colour of black Dhatura is dark black and its leaves, stem and flowers are also black. Treatment for various diseases 1. Swelling: Mix the juice of Dhatura leaves, opium and dry ginger and grind it and apply its paste on hands and feet. This relieves swelling. It also relieves swelling and pain caused by Vata. 2. Respiratory disease: Consuming Dhatura like smoking cures respiratory disease.
