Protecting your hair from the sun is as important as taking care of your skin in the summer season. The strong sun of this season steals the natural moisture from the hair and makes them dry and lifeless. Before the summer season damages your hair, you can face it by taking some precautions. The sun is as harmful for the skin as it is for the hair. The strong rays of the sun and the dryness of the environment can damage the hair and make them dry, lifeless and split, while a little precaution taken towards hair care can make your hair as beautiful as a silk thread. Methods to protect hair from the sun So, cover your hair with a scarf, umbrella or cap while going out of the house. If you do not want to take a scarf or umbrella, then you can also use products that provide sunscreen protection on the hair. To prevent hair from tangling and remove dryness, apply jojoba oil and massage lightly. Then wrap the head in polythene. Shampoo in the morning. This way the hair will be conditioned overnight. Sunlight makes the hair dry anyway, and the use of chemical shampoos leaves no stone unturned in making them even drier. It is better that instead of using shampoos containing harmful chemicals in this season, you use mild shampoos made from natural products. Problems like hair fall also arise due to the scalp becoming oily in the summer season. If your hair is too dry, then you can also do deep conditioning of the hair once a week. For this, apply conditioner to the hair before sleeping at night and cover the head with a shower cap or plastic and wash the head with shampoo in the morning. Hair styling machines should not be used in the summer season. It is better that you keep your hair tied as much as possible. After washing, let them dry naturally instead of using a hair dryer to dry them. Apply a protective straightening lotion to slightly damp hair to give it support and definition. Then comb gently. This will help retain the natural moisture. Oily hair is a common problem in the sun. This is due to the excessive secretion of sebum from the scalp. Wash or wet your hair with clean water before going swimming.
