Research has shown that protein, Vitamin A, B, C, D, E, B-Complex, Iodine, Phosphorus, Copper, Silicon, Iron, Magnesium, Potassium etc. are required for the beauty of hair. Vitamin A: Vitamin A is the main element for the beauty of hair, which keeps them long, thick and soft. The effect of Vitamin A deficiency is first seen on the hair, they appear lifeless. 1000 to 4000 units of Vitamin A are required in the body. B Complex: In the absence of B Complex in the body, hair starts turning grey prematurely and becomes weak and starts falling. When B Complex is fulfilled in the body, hair starts becoming black and strong again. Pantothenic acid found in B Complex plays an important role in blackening the grey hair. Para Amino Benzoic Acid and Folic Acid are also helpful in blackening the hair. Vitamin C: Deficiency of vitamin C in the body causes dryness in the hair. A dry crust forms on the scalp, which weakens the hair roots and the hair starts falling. Vitamin D: Vitamin D in the body keeps the hair thick, long and healthy. Vitamin E: This vitamin stimulates the body's sex hormone androgen, which helps in making the hair beautiful, thick and shiny. Consume plenty of green vegetables, salad, sprouted grains, milk, milk products, fresh fruits, dry fruits, fish, pulses, eggs, rice, chapatti made of bran flour, coconut etc. in the diet. Drink 6-7 liters of water daily and avoid constipation. The vitamins whose deficiency causes baldness include inositol and PABA of vitamin B group, these vitamins protect the hair follicles. 'PABA' not only protects hair follicles, but also helps hair to retain its natural colour. Premature greying of hair is also caused due to deficiency of amino acid phenylalamine, which is related to the colour particles of hair, melanin. Biotin, folic acid and pantothenic acid can prove to be helpful in maintaining the natural colour of hair. All B-vitamins are beneficial for hair. Taking 1 tablet of Vitamin B complex of 100 mg strength three times a day along with biotin, pantothenic acid, B-6, niacin and inositol can be beneficial. Hair fall occurs due to deficiency of Vitamin B-6. Niacin increases blood circulation. Pantothenic acid helps in the functioning of the adrenal gland, which reduces stress. Hair fall also occurs due to deficiency of iron, but take iron tablets only after its deficiency is confirmed. The recommended dosage of iron is 15 mg. Vitamin C (3.8 grams daily) increases blood circulation in the scalp. Taking 90 mg DMG and Co Enzyme Q 10 (60 mg) three times a day can also be beneficial. Vitamin E (400-1200 IU daily) also speeds up hair growth. Excessive intake of Vitamin A causes baldness. All types of amino acids are essential for healthy hair. Like nails, hair also contains 95-98 percent protein. Sulfur-containing amino acids, cysteine and methionine are especially useful. Amino acids strengthen hair. Cysteine helps the liver to function better. Take 500 mg cysteine twice a day. Taking methionine (500 mg twice a day) stops hair fall. The EFA present in flaxseed oil and evening primrose oil is beneficial for hair health. It is more beneficial to use one or two teaspoons of flaxseed oil with 50 mg of vitamin B-6 or 500 mg evening primrose oil capsules daily. Avoid the consumption of chocolates, sweets, chips, namkeen, ice cream, chutney, papad, pickles, jam, cold drinks, alcohol, tobacco, other intoxicants, deep fried foods and stale food etc.
