Introduction- This is a type of headache which causes pain in one half of the head and is related to the liver. So, it starts with nausea and vomiting. The effect of this pain starts from the head and is carried to one side of the head. When migraine occurs in a person, he feels violent pain in the head which sometimes becomes unbearable. He feels pain by touching the head, but feels relief by pressing it. The patient suffering from this disease is not able to bear light or loud sound and wants to stay in a dark room. The effect of this pain lasts for a few hours or for 1-2 days. Darkness is covered (diffusion) before the eyes (vision is blurred). Mostly, this disease occurs in the fair sex especially at the beginning of her menstruation. Vomiting is also present in this disease, as nature wants to expel bile from the body. This disease can occur once in a fortnight or a month and a half or once in 3 months. When this disease occurs, the patient has a worse feeling and uneasiness than a bad pain in the head. In the case of this disease, pain occurs in one half of the head along with the dislocation of the rectum or veins. It occurs in the fair sex (women) more than in men. It can also be hereditary.
The causes of migraine are as follows:-
- This disease may occur due to mental work.
- It may also occur due to stimulants such as chocolate, cheese, red wine, etc.
- In the case of women, it occurs due to suppressed menstruation.
- It may also occur due to fast over.
- This disease also occurs due to taking more womb peels.
- It occurs due to working hard beyond his capacity.
- When there is weakness in the body due to excess sexual intercourse, migraine may occur.
- It occurs due to taking cold food daily.
- It may occur due to wandering too much in the sun.
- Migraine occurs due to working late at night, studying for long hours, insomnia, etc.
- This may be due to bright light and glare.
- This may also be hereditary which is passed on from generation to generation continuously.
Treatment of this disease with different medicines:-
1. Chionanthus-
Well, this is a prominent medicine for curing liver disease. 2-4 doses of mother tincture or 1st potency of this medicine should be taken continuously for several weeks.
If the patient suffering from this disease feels milk pain in his head which is affected on the region above the eyes and there is sharp pain in the eye balls, heaviness is felt at the root of the nose, pain is increasing by bending, the symptoms of the disease are increasing by moving his hands and legs, this medicine is very useful for the treatment of such symptoms.
At the beginning of the menstruation, if the woman feels migraine with symptoms related to bile, then taking Chionanthus is very useful.
2. Sanguinaria:-
If the patient feels pain on the right side of the head and the symptoms of the disease are increasing due to the heat of the sun, then a few drops of the mother tincture of Sanguinaria should be used.
If the pain is occurring in one half of the head and the symptoms of the disease are increasing due to the heat of the sun, then a few drops of this medicine should be used for treatment.
If the pain has occurred in the head and one feels as if the effect of the pain moves upwards, the pain persists on the area above the right eye, this medicine is very useful to cure such symptoms.
Sanguinaria 3x or 200 can also be used to cure migraine. If the migraine is occurring in the 7th day of stopping menstruation, then this medicine is very useful for the treatment of such symptoms.
3. Kali Bichrom-
The pain occurs on one side of the head of the patient and its effect persists on small sections of the head. This type of pain occurs in the head due to suppression of catarrh. The effects of this pain are also present in the forehead and the sections above the eyes, due to thickening of the fiber above the eyebrow. Before the headache, the eyes become dazzled. Thus, using Kali Bichrome 3 or 30 is beneficial for the treatment of such symptoms.
4. Natrum-Mur:-
The patient feels pain in one half of the head as if it would crack into two parts. After getting up in the morning, the patient feels pain as if thousands of small hammers are hitting the brain. This type of pain occurs in women after menstruation. The effect of this pain persists from sunrise to sunset. Thus, taking Ntrum-Mur 12 or 30 is beneficial for the treatment of such a patient.
Small girls who are very weak with lack of blood in their body, when such girls come back from school, they feel pain in the head or if their disease becomes chronic, the pain occurs on one side of the head with nausea and vomiting, if the pain occurs at a certain time, then for the treatment of such a patient, Natrum-Mur is very useful.
If there is inflammation in the sinuses along with headache, then for its treatment, Natrum-Mur should be taken.
5. Natrum-Sulph:-
Natrum-Sulph is very useful for curing liver disease. If migraine occurred in rainy season, due to dampness, eating vegetables growing around water, eating fish with following symptoms like migraine is accompanied by headache, Natrum-Sulph 12x can be used for treatment.
If migraine occurred due to skin disease or living in damp places in every spring season with scratchy like pain in temple, then Natrum-Sulph is very useful for curing such symptoms of the patient.
6. Onosmodium-
When the patient wakes up in the morning, he feels pain in his head and forehead and especially pain in the left side of the head in the forehead, temples and bone behind the ear, feeling heaviness over eyes or headache due to weakness of the body, taking Onosmodium 30 is beneficial if the patient also has symptoms- excess weakness, lack of sexual power.
7. Psorinum:-
In case of migraine, if the suffering patient wakes up at night as if someone has hit his head, then using Psorinum 200 is very effective for curing such symptoms.
If this disease becomes chronic with the following symptoms, like the patient feels hungry due to headache, he feels pain as if someone hit his head with a hammer, he is cold, he should wrap his body with warm clothes even in summer season, the use of Psorinum is beneficial for curing the disease of the patient.
8. Silicea-
If the pain starts from the head and is carried to the section above the eyes; the patient suffering from such symptoms gets some relief when he wraps himself with warm clothes, taking Silicea 30 is beneficial for the treatment of this disease of the patient. While using this medicine, it should be considered the following symptoms like returning of the symptoms of the disease from time to time, headache, stiffness, pus forming in the throat, attacks of fits, boils and pimples appearing, etc. Such symptoms recur again and again after the onset of the disease. The patient is chilled and likes to sit near the fire, wants to wrap his body with warm clothes, he does not tolerate cold air, hands and feet remain cold, the symptoms of the disease aggravate in the winter season.
9. Thuja- Thuja 6 or 200 should be used for the treatment of migraine.
10. Salicylate of Soda- For the treatment of a patient suffering from migraine, Salicylate of Soda 20 or 30 should be used.
11. Robina:-
If migraine has occurred due to excess acid produced in the stomach with vomiting of acidic substances, slight pain in the frontal part of the head, aggravation of the symptoms of the disease by writing and reading work, pain like stinging, throbbing, etc., to cure such symptoms of the patient, Robina 3 should be used.
If the acid produced in the stomach due to migraine is very useful, treatment with this medicine is very useful. In such a patient sour belches come, he suffers from acidic and stinging vomiting, etc., Robina should be used to cure such symptoms of the patient. This medicine may have to be taken for a long time.
12. Sulphur- If the migraine patient feels pain repeatedly at a certain time, feeling heaviness in the temples, feeling as if a heavy weight has to be put on the head, pressure is felt in the head, for its treatment, Sulphur 30 can be used.
13. Punas-spinosa- To cure migraine, taking Punas-spinosa 3 or 6 is very useful.
The following medicines can also be used for the treatment of migraine like- Veratrum-vir 3X, IPECAC 30, Duboisine 3x, Atropine 3x or 30, Strychnia 30, Powder of Cannabis-indica 3x or Hyosimine-hydrobomatum 6x, etc.
Other Treatments:-
The migraine patient should sleep in a room after switching off the light.
He should take liquid diet.
A piece of cloth should be placed on the forehead after dipping it in hot water to provide some relief to the patient or put a poultice of warm mustard oil on the neck and below the back.
The patient suffering from migraine should not use medicine mixed with opium or julev to get relief from pain, as it may do harm.
To protect yourself from this disease, first of all, avoid stress and mental anxiety.
Food should be taken at proper time and strenuous exercise should be avoided.
Yoga and some regular exercises are beneficial for stress reduction.
If necessary dark glasses and umbrella should be used while going out in the sun. 3-4 glasses of cold water should be drunk right after the headache starts and one should rest in a dark room after applying a cold compress on the forehead.
Do not take intoxicants to get relief from pain.
Pain killers (drugs) should not be used to cure headache.
He can protect himself from migraine by doing regular exercises.
