Introduction:-
Syphilis is a disease related to the reproductive organ. If a healthy person gets involved in sexual intercourse with any syphilis patient, then lesions may appear on the reproductive organ of that healthy person. There are two types of such lesions- hard chancre and soft chancre.
In case of hard chancre, the blood is venomous while in case of soft chancre, the blood is non-venomous.
If the virus of syphilis is ingested in the body of a healthy person, then it takes about 20 days for it to show symptoms. When this disease is in its invisible stage, it keeps on forming symptoms internally. This stage is called the 'incubating period'. In this period, there are no symptoms of syphilis to be found on the body of the victim. After the incubation period, when the symptoms of this disease appear, it passes through 3 stages- primary stage, secondary stage and tertiary stage.
Primary stage:-
Due to engaging in sexual intercourse with a syphilis patient; kissing such patient; his towel, clothes; from the mucus membrane of the cut area on the skin of such patient or mouth etc., the virus of the patient is transferred to a healthy person. After about 20 days, the victims, who get these viruses, start feeling itching sensation at that place of the body where such viruses reach. In this, a round chancre, like a pea, appears at that place with raised and hard edges. Its central section is darker. The gland near the thigh starts on growing and becoming hard (hard) and is called a 'bubo'. Gradually, the sores start healing and the bubo is also slightly suppurated. This is the primary stage of the patient which may last from 2 weeks to 6 months.
Secondary stage:-
In the second stage of this disease, the affected person starts feeling fever after 3-4 months of lesions, his body becomes weak, pain occurs in the head, lack of blood in the body, sores appear in the mouth and throat, pain occurs in the joints.
Tertiary stage:-
This stage starts after 2-3 years. In this stage, the bones start disintegrating, pain starts in the bone, which is caused by any disease of the periosteum, tumors are formed in the testicles and liver, sore throat, and he has to face a lot of difficulty during sleep at night.
Treatment by different medicines:
1. Jacaranda Gaylandi- If the lesions of syphilis appear especially between the eyes and throat, then 5-5 drops of the mother tincture of Jacaranda Gaylandi should be taken daily twice a day.
2. Solidago-Verga- If the patient has been suffering from scanty urination with pain, pain in the bladder, sedimentation of blackish material at the bottom while urinating and urination becomes impossible without taking Cathor, etc., 3-4 drops of the mother tincture of this medicine should be taken 3-4 times a day in a day.
Enlargement of Prostate Gland:-
In old people, if urination becomes impossible without taking Cathor due to enlarged prostate, 5 to 10 drops of the mother tincture of Sabal-Serolata should be taken daily twice a day.
1. Biscum-Album- In women, if arthritis is caused due to gonorrhoea, giving Biscum-Album 3x is beneficial.
Sleeplessness:-
3 drops of the mother tincture of Gelsemium can be used in case of sleeplessness or in case of feeling very lethargic.
Coffea 3 is known as very effective medicine for sleeplessness.
If a person is suffering from sleeplessness at night due to stiffness or pain, then Cimicifuga 3x or 30 can be given.
If a person has suffered from sleeplessness at the beginning of the night and feels sleepy in the last hour of the night, then, Nux-vomica 6 can be used.
Treatment of primary stage of this disease with different medicines:-
1. Syphilinum- This medicine is very useful for all the three stages of syphilis. It is beneficial to give Syphilinum 1 once a week for initial 2-3 months and then once in a fortnight (15 days). If the patient is facing a lot of difficulty, then this is very effective for him.
2. Nitric-Acid- If a syphilis patient has taken mercury but it has failed and warts have appeared in place of sores, etc., taking Nitric-Acid 30 at an interval of every 4-5 hours is very useful.
3. Guacum- In the early stage of this disease, if the chancre takes longer time to heal, the chancre is hard, the front segment of the glans penis is swollen, etc., 6th potency of this medicine or its mother tincture can be given to the patient.
Treatment of secondary stage of syphilis with different medicines:-
1. Merc-Sol-
Merc-Sol is known as a very effective medicine for syphilis. It acts better in soft chancre, buboes and fever. If symptoms like sore throat, difficulty in sleeping at night due to insomnia, foul smelling discharge from wounds, gangrene like boils which bleed, etc. are found in the patient then taking Merc-Sol 30 is very useful.
Moreover, Merc- Prot Iodide works better in case of hard chancre in which pain and pus are absent. This medicine is very effective in secondary stage lesions. If the lesions are in indolent stage, neither diminishing nor remain much in the same condition, Merc-Bin Iodide should be given. In secondary and tertiary stage of scrofulous patient, Sinneberis 3x can be given. Merc-Dulce can be used in disintegrating lesions of mouth and throat and in case of infantile syphilis.
2. Arsenic-Album- In syphilis, Arsenic-Album is known as very effective medicine. If the syphilis patient feels severe pain in his disintegrating lesions, 30 potency of this medicine should be given to the patient.
3. Hepar-sulph- In case of symptoms of syphilis, if the area between the lesions becomes red, its edges are wide, watery pus comes out, pus is produced in the glands, swelling occurs, pain is felt at night, lesions cannot be touched, excess hair falls, etc. symptoms are found in the patient, Hepar-sulph 30 should be given.
4. Nitric-acid- This medicine is used in the secondary stage of syphilis. Nitric-acid 6 can be given to the patient in symptoms like degeneration of lesions, large number of eruptions appear in them, bleeding, marks of lesions on mucus membrane, headache and shapeless lesions in the skin, yellow marks fall.
5. Majorum- In syphilis, this medicine is considered very effective to relieve the troubles faced by the patient at night. It also acts better in pain of periosteum. 6 or 30 potency of this medicine can be taken to cure the diseases.
6. Carbo-Animalis- This medicine works better in people who consume excess mercury. 3 or 30 potency of this medicine can be given to the patient in symptoms like- Brassy coloured eruptions appear on the skin especially on face, thigh, etc.
7. Thuja- If warts appear on the front part of glan penis, white lesions appear; giving Thuja 30 is very useful for the patient.
Use of different medicines in tertiary stage of syphilis:-
8. Kali-Iodide- This medicine can be taken only in tertiary stage of syphilis. Kali-Iodide 3 can be used when the patient feels cutting pain in his bones; burning and throbbing pain (smart pain) in the bones of nose and forehead.
9. Aurum-Met- This can be used in the secondary and tertiary stage of syphilis. If ulcers appear in the mouth due to abuse of mercury, syphilis attacks the nose, sores appear in the nasal bones; foul-smelling discharge starts, pain is felt in the facial bones, etc. symptoms are found in the patient, Aurum-Met 30 can be taken.
10. Aurum-Mua- This medicine is taken only according to the symptoms of Aurum-Met. 30 potency of this should be used.
11. Phytolacca- This medicine is used in many symptoms of syphilis. If the patient has been suffering from gastric, joint pains and muscular pains which are aggravated at night and in cold weather, etc., 3 potency of this medicine should be used to eliminate such symptoms.
