Radish Digests Foods

 



Radish does not digest by itself, but it digests other foods. If 10 grams of jaggery is consumed after a meal, the radish is digested.

* Radish juice is delicious and makes the heart happy. It is also light and a throat cleanser.


* Radish roasted in ghee is anti-gas, anti-bile and anti-phlegm. Dry radish also proves harmless. Radish flowers roasted in jaggery, oil or ghee are anti-gas and anti-phlegm and its fruit is anti-bile.

* Liver and spleen patients should give preference to radish in their daily diet.


* Petish salt is especially beneficial in stomach disorders.

* Put thin slices of radish in vinegar and keep in the sun, eat when the color turns brown. This increases gastric fire.

* Drinking radish juice mixed with salt cures heaviness in the stomach, flatulence and urinary tract disease.


* Mixing radish ash in mustard oil and massaging with it cures inflammation. In case of anemia and jaundice, extract juice from radish leaves and put it on fire. Filter the water after boiling. Add two tols (20 grams) of red sugar. Consume it for 9-10 days. It starts the formation of new blood.
