Introduction:-
In case of jaundice, the skin of the body is changed to yellow colour even in the white part inside the eyes. If a person has yellow skin and eyes, then he is suffering from jaundice. This yellowness is due to the presence of virulent rubin in the blood. It is formed due to the death of red blood cells.
Symptoms:-
In case of jaundice, the skin, eyes, nails etc. become yellow. The urine also gets converted to yellow.
Use of various medicines in case of jaundice:-
1. Aconite- If this medicine is given to the patient in the initial stage of jaundice, it can be completely cured. Moreover, the patient keeps on changing his sides with nervousness and restlessness throughout the night; he keeps on feeling violent thirst which is not quenched even after drinking water repeatedly but becomes more violent; all things except water become acrid in taste; the urine is changed to black colour; the patient feels pain due to hardening in the lower part of the abdomen. Therefore, giving Aconite 3 is beneficial in such symptoms. If the patient has used medicines, containing mercury in fair amount, the disease can be controlled by the use of Merc-Sol. If he has used medicines, containing mercury extravasally (in excess), China should be given.
2. Breonia- In case of jaundice, it is aggravated by any movement; he is not able to tolerate even a little pressure on the liver; he is not able to move; feeling difficulty in breathing; in case of coughing, he feels as if his liver will burst, etc. then Breonia 30 can be given.
3. Chionthus- It is known as an important medicine for liver disease. The eyes of the patient become completely yellow, pain in the navel section, watery stools come in yellow colour. The liver becomes enlarged, the patient becomes very weak, the urine comes in black colour, etc., taking juice of Chionthus is beneficial. Also, it is known as very effective medicine for chronic jaundice.
4. Sulphur- If Sulphur 200 is given to the patient in the initial stage of jaundice, it provides relief.
5. Chelidonium- In the beginning of jaundice, if Sulphur does not make any effect, Chalidonium can be given to him. Chalidonium 3 or Tis juice should be given to the patient in symptoms like feeling pain in his liver section, acrid, thick coating on tongue, eye changes, face, hands, arms and skins turning yellow, urine of yellow colour, lack of appetite, turbidity, vomiting, as if the patient has to repel hot food and drinks.
6. Merc-Sol- If the liver of the patient swells along with other symptoms of jaundice due to which he cannot lie down on the right side, he is not able to bear any type of pressure on the liver and feels needle-like pain in it, still it is getting less even on being pressed, tastes like acrid, marks of teeth fall on the tongue, he does not feel comfortable even after profuse sweating, yellow sweat comes out, due to which, clothes also turn yellow, etc., giving Merc-Sol 2 or 30 is beneficial.
If fever also comes in the beginning of jaundice, it can be treated by Aconite and then Merc-Sol can be given to the patient. But, if fever does not come and the disease becomes a little chronic, then China is given for 7 days and then Merc-Sol is given.
7. Pod Phylum:- If a person has passed some days with jaundice and no ill effect is found on his health, then this medicine is beneficial. The patient has been suffering from constipation and loose motions one after another- sometimes the stool is completely suppressed and sometimes comes extravagantly; flatulence, liver pain, it may be prone to vomiting of blood, bad belches may come a lot, etc., giving Pod Phylum 6 or its juice is very good for the patient.
8. Myrica-Seriphera- This medicine works better on the liver. If the patient becomes totally sleepless, feels pain in shoulders and back of neck, in all muscles of the body, yellow skin with itching sensation in it, pain in right leg and yellow or black coating on tongue, Congeal, etc., giving 3 potency of this medicine or its juice is very useful.
9. Digitalis- If the pulse is irregular or intermittent, Digitalis works better in this symptom. Apart from this, the patient feels nausea as if he is about to vomit, feels sleepy and sometimes, his whole body turns yellow eyes and nails also turn yellow, stool is colorless and comes out as beer color, pulse rate is only 30 per minute, if these types of symptoms are due to liver diseases, then this mother tincture or 3rd or 30thrds is recommended.
10. Nux-Vomica- If a person is suffering from jaundice after getting angry, then Nux-Vomica is very good at that time. Due to jaundice, the patient also has mental symptoms- behaves roughly about others, abuses, quarrels over little subjects, he likes to cover himself with clothes as he feels very cold, he is cold, his face becomes yellow, taste becomes pungent due to which the taste also becomes pungent. The liver swells and becomes hard, and the patient keeps feeling pain by touching it. In this way, the patient becomes physically and mentally weak. Thus, Nux-Vomica 6 or 30 is very useful for the patient.
11. Natrum-Sulph- Natrum-Sulph is considered very effective for liver diseases. It is also very useful in liver diseases accompanied with other symptoms such as headache, tongue yellow or brown, etc.
12. CHINA- The liver swells, becomes hard and the patient keeps feeling pain by touching it, obstruction comes in the gall bladder, pain starts, taste becomes bad, flatulence, there is lot of belching, the patient feels very much weakness at night, he is not able to feel hunger even in cold, the patient feels hunger pangs, he feels weakness in the stomach, he feels weakness in the stomach, he feels hunger pangs, China 6 or 30 is very useful.
13. Sepia- Sepia 200 is very useful in symptoms like- Swelling in liver, enlargement of liver with pain, flatulence, uneasiness in liver region, much irritation, do not talk politely with others, feel violent hunger which is not pacified after food, constipation, etc.,
14. Dolicos-Puriance- In case of jaundice, expels white stools; violent itching starts all over the body without eruptions. Thus, Dolicos-Puriance 6 should be given.
15. Chamomile- The patient becomes irritable temperament, remains angry all the time, swelling in liver, pain which is unbearable to the patient, etc. Then giving Chamomilla 30 is very useful.
Awareness:-
- In case of jaundice, drinking sugarcane juice is very useful, as sugarcane juice is considered to be the enemy of jaundice.
- Jaundice patient should drink 2-3 glasses of fresh vegetable juice daily.
- He should not take milk, cheese and non-vegetarian food.
- Jaundice patient should not take alcohol.
- He should drink enough cold water.
