Introduction:-
When the muscles of the body begin to contract, it is called convulsions. It is of many types- mouth shape convulsions, facial muscle convulsions, convulsions of hands and feet, finger convulsions, etc.
There can be many causes of such convulsions like- doing too much work with hands and feet, doing any type of work in the same posture for a long time, etc.
There are mainly two types of convulsions:-
Convulsing for a long time (tonic):- The muscles on which this type of convulsions attacks are contracted for a long time as tetanus.
Convulsing for a short time (colonic):- In this convulsion, the muscles go on contracting and expanding like-rigidity.
Treatment by different medicines:-
1. Cuprum Metallicum- 6 - The potency of this medicine can be used to cure convulsions.
2. Nux-vom- Nux-vom 3 can be used to cure convulsive conditions.
3. Acon- If the effects of convulsions are found on the face, then for its treatment, it is very effective to use Acon 3x. If a convulsion has occurred due to exposure to cold dry air and if it is acute, then for its treatment, ACON can be used.
4. Hypericum- If this disease has occurred due to injury of nerves, then it is very effective to use Hypericum 3x to cure this disease.
5. Rhus-tox- Chronic convulsions can be cured by taking Rhus-Tox 6.
6. Causticum- Causticum 6 can be used for the treatment of chronic convulsions.
7. Kali Iod- If this disease has occurred due to syphilis, then for its treatment, it is beneficial to use Kali Iod 30.
8. Acid-sulph- Acid-sulph 3 should be used for removing such spasms in which, the patient is not able to write with holding a pen.
9. Gel- Using Gel 3x is also beneficial for the treatment of such spasms in which the patient becomes unable to write with holding a pen.
10. Arg-met- Taking 6 potency of this medicine is very useful for curing the spasms of fingers.
11. Colchicum- If the convulsions have occurred in the sole, then for its treatment, Colchicum 3 can be used.
12. Camphor- If the convulsions have occurred in the heel or the feet have become cold, then using Camphor 3 or 200 is beneficial for its treatment.
Other treatments along with using different medicines:-
- The patient suffering from convulsions should take maximum rest.
- The convulsive patient should exercise daily in the morning and evening.
