Introduction-
In this disease, there is a deficiency of red blood particles in the body due to which the skin dries up to yellow or light sulphur in colour.
Causes-
Mostly this disease may be caused due to excessive bleeding, irregular menstruation, mental disorder, lack of physical work etc.
Symptoms
In this disease, the menstruation becomes irregular, body temperature falls, headache persists, the patient feels cold, dark circles fall around the eyes, heart beat increases, pulse becomes weak, lips become dry, constipation occurs, even small things cause anger due to hunger (anorexia) etc.
Use of various medicines in Chlorosis (Green Disease):-
1. Ferrum-Reductum- It is considered a very effective medicine for chlorosis. The suffering patient should take this medicine in the amount of 0.12 gm.
2. Graphites- If the patient female has symptoms like scanty menstrual discharge, dry skin, constipation, discharge from uterus, thickening of body etc., then 3 x quantity of Graphites medicine should be used.
3. Calc- Carb-If a girl of the age of 12 to 13 years has symptoms like chlorosis and nervousness, sweating around the head, cold feet, abscesses in bones etc., then medicine Calc-Carb should be used. Besides, if the patient female has following symptoms like chronic cold or diarrhoea, crooked or weak spine, gradual increase in weight etc., then using 3 or 30 potency of Calc-Carb medicine is beneficial.
4. Cuprum- If chlorosis is increasing, which requires consumption of excess medicines containing iron or taking bath with hot water, 6 potency of Cuprum medicine should be used.
5. Ferrum-Met- In case of chlorosis, if the patient becomes very weak, mouth or lips start appearing yellow or dusty, dizziness, hoarseness of voice, rapid heartbeat, rapid heart beat, difficulty in breathing, feeling cold all the time, stoppage of menstrual discharge etc. symptoms, consumption of Ferrum-Met is beneficial.
6. Sepia - If the patient has the following symptoms like severe headache, pain in uterus, narrowing of abdomen, less or stopped menstrual discharge which starts again and again, green or yellow discharge from vagina, defecation due to constipation. Even if force has to be applied, only air comes out, stool comes out like goat stool it is beneficial to give 13 potency of Sepia medicine in symptoms like migraine etc.
7. In the disease Argentum-Nitricum- Chlorosis, if the patient has following symptoms like vomiting, severe abdominal pain, rapid heartbeat, fainting, etc., then 6 potency of drug Argentum-Nitricum is useful to cure such symptoms.
8. In Arsenic- Chlorosis disease, if the patient has following symptoms like excessive bleeding, swelling, etc., 30 potency of Arsenic medicine should be given.
9. Pulsatilla - If menstrual discharge stops or decreases, becomes cold all the time, hands and feet become cold, palpitations increase, leucorrhoea of white colour like milk, feels suffocated in a warm room and prefers to stay in open air, etc., then 3 x or 6 power of Pulsatilla medicine should be given.
10. Sulphur- Sulphur 30 medicine is beneficial in case of feeling hot in palm or sole and brahmamatalu, constipation, feeling very restless while sleeping at night, chronic leucorrhoea etc.
11. Natrum-Mur- If the patient feels cold in the joints of abdominal muscles, heaviness of lower abdomen, constipation, stoppage of menstruation, etc. symptoms, a powder of 12 x quantity or 30 power of Natrum-Mur medicine should be taken. Precautions:- Chlorosis patient should take bath with cold water daily. The patient should take fresh air. The patient should be given milk, water, roti made of pulses or ground flour and sunlight. Besides, egg yolk, small fish, vegetables, milk, curd, buttermilk and sufficient water etc. should be given and all clothes should be removed from the body and sunlight should be taken.
