1. Keep the place where you live and the surrounding area clean. 2. Keep cutting the nails of hands and feet as they grow. Do not keep nails long and covered with dirt. 3. A person who wants his welfare should not cut his hair on any day except Wednesday and Friday. Cutting hair on Monday leads to loss of devotion towards Lord Shiva. A person having a son should not cut his hair on this day. Cutting hair on Tuesday is completely inappropriate, it can also be the cause of death. Wednesday is the one that brings wealth. Cutting hair on Thursday leads to loss of Lakshmi and respect. Friday leads to gain of profit and fame. Saturday is the cause of death. Sunday is the day of Sun God. Getting a haircut on this day leads to loss of wealth, wisdom and religion. 4. Monday, Wednesday and Saturday are the best days for applying oil to the body. If you want to avoid the negative effects of planets, then you should apply oil on these days. 5. While applying oil to the body, first apply oil to the navel and the nails of the fingers and toes. 6. Keep the feet as open as possible. Walk barefoot on green grass for some time in the morning. Do not criticize or listen to criticism of anyone. 20. Never be afraid of any person, situation or difficulty but face it with courage. 21. Apart from conversation, clothes are of great importance in society. Gentlemen consider those who wear fashionable clothes, use strong perfumed oils or scents and those who are always dressed up as vagabonds or lewds etc. Therefore, you should keep your lifestyle and attire simple. Clothes should be clean and plain. Never wear clothes with pictures of film actresses and actors or their names printed on them. This will save you from bad habits. 22. Torn clothes can be stitched and used, but they must be clean. 23. People will consider you to be the same as you are with. Therefore, leave the company of bad people forever and stay with good people. Even if you do not find fault in those who are considered bad, do not keep company with them. 24. Do every work with utmost care. Do not ignore any work considering it to be small. Do every work on time. Leave the work ahead and concentrate on the next work. When working on time becomes a habit, even difficult tasks will become easy. Concentrate on studying. Study thoroughly not only to pass the examination, but to increase your knowledge. Read the best Indian scriptures daily. Whatever you read, try to understand it. Do not hesitate to ask those who are better than you.
25. Never tease the blind, one-eyed, hunchbacked, lame etc., rather treat them with more sympathy.
26. If you know a lost traveller, you should show him the right path.
27. Do not read any letter addressed to anyone.
28. If you go to someone's house, do not touch his things. If necessary, touch only after asking. When done, put the thing back in its proper place.
29. Do not spit in a bus compartment, train compartment, Dharamshala or temple, and in public buildings or places, do not urinate, etc., and do not throw fruit peels or paper etc. there. Do not litter there in any way. Follow the rules there completely.
30. Always walk on the left side of the road. While walking on the road, do not spit on your right side, spit on the left side. Do not stand on the road and talk. If you want to talk, move aside. 31. Whatever help and service you can give to the poor, destitute and needy, do that, but do not take any service from others till you are capable. Do not neglect anyone.

33. If any acquaintance, neighbor, friend etc. is ill or in some trouble, you should visit him many times and help and console him to the best of your ability.

38. Scratching the ground with hands and feet, breaking straws, repeatedly rubbing the head, groping for buttons, twisting the ends of clothes, swaying, cracking fingers - these are signs of bad behaviour. Hence, these are totally avoidable.
39. Putting finger, pencil, knife, pin, needle, key or end of clothes in mouth, putting finger in nose, plucking straws with hand or teeth, biting nails with teeth, plucking eyebrows - these are bad habits. These should be given up as soon as possible.

44. Do not speak anything without understanding. Do it only when you know the truth of the matter. Be true to your words. Fulfill the promise you make to anyone. Fulfill the promise you have made to meet someone or do something on time. Do not delay it.
45. Pray to God regularly. Prayers give you the kind of morale that you cannot get from any other means.
46. Always be satisfied and happy. Do not be tempted by looking at the things of others.
47. To protect your eyes, do not read in very bright light or in very dim light. Both are harmful. Do not read in such a way that the light falls directly on the pages of the book. One should not read while lying down, bending or by bringing the book too close to the eyes. Jala Neti prevents the use of glasses and if you have glasses, they are removed.
48. The simpler your food and lifestyle, the healthier you will be. The more you use fashionable things or get caught up in the taste of the tongue, the more your health will deteriorate.
