Rules For Eating Food Quoted From Charak Samhita

 


1. Take hot food - Hot food increases the gastric fire, food gets digested quickly.

2. Take oily food - Oily food nourishes the body, strengthens the senses.

3. Take food in quantity - Food in proper quantity according to digestive power is healthy.

4. Take food after digestion -
Eat the second meal only when you feel hungry after the first meal is digested.


5. Take food with incompatible semen - Food with incompatible semen (quality and strength) causes disease.

6. Take food in a favorable place -
Eat the favorite things of the mind in a place favorable to the mind.

7. Do not eat food in a hurry -
Eating food in a hurry delays the digestion of food due to not getting saliva properly.


8. Do not eat food very slowly-
Eating slowly and intermittently does not satiate the body, the food becomes cold and the digestion becomes uneven.

9. Eat with concentration-
By doing so, the food is digested well and is absorbed by the body.

10. Eat food according to your soul strength- If this food is beneficial or harmful for me, then taking food in the quantity according to your strength after thinking about it is beneficial.
