Ask them to play outdoor games

Encourage children to play outdoors. This increases their physical activity, which keeps them healthy, and also helps them burn extra calories. Instead of going out to play, children insist on spending time indoors on video games, computers and TV, which can be harmful for them.


No snacks with TV


If the child insists on watching TV, make sure that he stays away from snacks during this time. Also, make it a habit for children to get up from in front of the TV and walk around during the program break.
Children should go out of the house and play for at least one hour regularly. Children do not need to sweat in the gym, their game itself is enough for them. If you want, encourage children to play basketball, volleyball, badminton etc. This can reduce the fat accumulated on their stomach.

Tell the benefits of exercise


Make children aware of their health. You should take your children along with you when you go for a morning walk. They will benefit greatly from light exercise in the garden.
It is not necessary to make children join a gym for this. Teach small children to do pushups and pullups at home. Tell them that this will not only reduce their belly fat but will also keep them fit.

Keep them away from junk food

Give children healthy food instead of junk food, chocolates, pastries.
Trans and saturated fat found in junk food is the main reason for increasing belly fat in children. Give children green vegetables, fruits, cereal products and also make them develop the habit of drinking fruit juice instead of cold drinks.

Healthy snacks

Give children some healthy snacks which they find tasty as well as healthy. If you want, you can give children brown bread sandwiches, low fat cheese, veg rolls, sprouts, fruit salad etc. Children like fruit smoothies a lot.
To make this, put fruits like apple, banana, chikoo and strawberry in the blender. Add some milk to it. Now add very little sugar because fruits are already very sweet. But it would be better if you add a little honey instead of sugar. This will provide fiber, vitamins and minerals to children.
