Introduction
Dashmool is made by mixing Laghu Panchmool and Brihatpanchmool.
Properties
Dashmool is tridoshanashak, removes asthma, cough, headache, swelling, fever, rib pain, anorexia (lack of appetite) and flatulence (gas in the stomach). It is very useful during the delivery period of women.
Treatment for various diseases
1. Swelling of testicles:
Mixing 14 to 28 ml of Dashmool decoction in 7 to 14 ml of castor oil and consuming it daily in the morning reduces the swelling of testicles.
2. Strengthening teeth:
Add Dashmool decoction in mustard oil and cook it on fire. When it becomes thick, rubbing it on teeth and gums strengthens the gums.
3. Pregnant woman's fever:
Mixing pure ghee in the warm decoction of Dashmool and consuming it cures the puerperal fever of a pregnant woman.
4. Deafness:
Cook Dashmool decoction in oil and cool it. Then take this oil in a spoon, warm it and put 2 drops of it in both the ears to cure deafness.
5. Backache:
Mixing 14 to 28 ml of Dashmool decoction with 7-14 ml of castor oil and consuming it 3 times a day gives relief from backache.
6. Kanfed:
Mixing alum, majuphal, palash, papdi and murdasang together and applying it in the juice of Khirni on Kanfed gives relief.
7. Janeu (Herpes) disease:
Using 40 to 90 grams of Dashmool juice 4 times a day gives relief in Janeu disease.
8. In case of all types of pain:
Make a decoction by boiling Dashmool (Bel, Shyonak, Gambhari, Padhal, Arlu, Sariyavan, Pithavan, Badi Kateri, Chhoti Kateri and Giloy), then add Jawakhar and rock salt to it and consume it. It cures heart pain (heart pain), breathing problems (asthma), cough, hiccups and gas balls in the stomach.
9. Stomach ache:
Grind Dashmool (Bel, Shyonak, Gambhari, Padhal, Arlu, Sariyavan, Pithavan, Badi Kateri, Chhoti Kateri and Giloy) and prepare a decoction and drink it mixed with cow's urine to get relief from stomach pain caused by Pittodar i.e. bile.
10. Arthritis:
In case of knee pain, castor oil should be consumed with Dashmool decoction. It gives immediate relief to the patient.
11. Jaundice:
Jaundice can be cured by taking one cup of Dashmool decoction juice and adding half a teaspoon of dry ginger and 2 teaspoons of honey in it and consuming it for 8-10 days in the morning.
12. Numbness of the body:
Body numbness can be cured by mixing Pushkar root in Dashmool decoction and drinking it.
13. Headache:
Apart from headache, migraine pain can also be cured by mixing ghee and rock salt in Dashmool decoction and smelling it.
14. Lingodrek (when penis gets excited):
Consuming 10 to 100 grams of Dashmool juice 4 times a day at an interval of 6 hours cures the problem of penis getting excited.
15. Fever due to swelling:
Drinking decoction of Dashmool and dry ginger is beneficial in swelling fever. Mixing honey in it and giving it to the patient every morning is beneficial in swelling fever, child birth fever, typhoid fever and many types of Vata diseases.
16. Typhoid fever:
Mixing the powder of Choti Peepal in the decoction of Dashmool (Bel, Shyonak, Khambhari, Padhal, Arlu, Sarivan, Pithavan, Badi Kateri, Choti Kateri and Giloy) and giving it to the patient cures sleep (sleeplessness), cough, breathing (asthma), throat obstruction (throat problem), heart blockage (heart disease), pain in the ribs and Vata, Pitta and Kapha. Also, typhoid fever is cured.
A patient suffering from typhoid fever gets relief by drinking the decoction of Dashmool (Bel, Shyonak, Khambhari, Padhal, Arlu, Sarivan, Pithavan, Badi Kateri, Chhoti Kateri and Giloy) mixed with equal amount of ginger juice, kayphal, pohkarmool, dry ginger, black pepper, kakrasinghi, peepal, jawasa and ajwain etc.
Mix Dashmool (Bel, Shyonak, Khambhari, Padhal, Arlu, Sarivan, Pithavan, Badi Kateri, Chhoti Kateri and Giloy) and kachur, kakrasinghi, pohkarmool, dhamasa, bharangi, kuda seeds, patol leaves and kutki etc. and cook it to make a decoction. By drinking this decoction, the diseases of tridosha fever, cough, sleepiness, delirium, burning sensation and anorexia (loss of appetite) are cured.
Mix Dashmool (Bel, Shyonak, Khambhari, Padhal, Arlu, Sarivan, Pithavan, Badi Kateri, Chhoti Kateri and Giloy), Trikuta, Dry Ginger, Bhangi and Giloy and make a decoction. Consuming this decoction is beneficial in Sannipaat fever.
17. Vata-Pitta fever:
Mix honey in the decoction of Bel, Shyonak, Khambhari, Padhal, Arlu, Sarivan, Pithavan, Badi Kateri, Chhoti Kateri and Giloy and giving it to the patient is beneficial in Kapha fever.
