Causes of Obesity

1) Eating food with more calories than the body needs. 2) Decreased rate of metabolism. 3) Disorders of thyroid or pituitary gland. 4) Sitting for long hours. 5) Hormonal imbalance.

Preventive Measures Preventive 1 Exercise is a very important measure to reduce fat. Aerobic exercises are beneficial. Obesity increases due to lazy lifestyle. Hence, being active is very important.

Preventive 2 Honey is a very important substance for obesity prevention. Taking one spoon of honey mixed with half spoon of lemon juice in warm water regularly destroys excess fat in the body. It is a duty to take it 3 times a day.

Preventive 3 Cabbage (Band Gobhi) contains elements that reduce fat. This strengthens the metabolism of the body. As a result, more calories are burnt. In this process, fat is destroyed and obesity is prevented. Preventive 4 Anti-obesity elements are found in mint. Taking one spoon of mint juice mixed with two spoons of honey is beneficial. Preventive 5 Drinking 250 grams of tomato juice as soon as you wake up in the morning for 2-3 months reduces body fat. Preventive 6 Carrot juice is useful in reducing obesity. Take about 300 grams of carrot juice at any time of the day. Preventive 7 A study has concluded that water therapy has proved effective in solving the problem of obesity. After waking up in the morning, keep drinking two glasses of water at an interval of every hour. Thus, drink at least 20 glasses of water throughout the day. This will remove foreign substances from the body and the metabolic process (metabolism) will be accelerated and more calories will be burnt, and body fat will be reduced. If you drink 3 glasses of water per hour instead of 2 glasses, obesity will be cured even faster. Preventive 8 Use low calorie foods. Important diet 1) Use less salt, less sugar. 2) Avoid food items containing high fat. Fat increases due to use of fried items. Vanaspati ghee is harmful. 3) Dry fruits (almonds, raisins, pistachios), flax seeds, olive oil contain high quality fat. Their balanced use is beneficial. 4) Do not consume alcohol. 5) Finely chop ginger with a knife, cut a lemon into pieces and boil both in water. Drink it warm. It is a good remedy. 6) Consume one and a half kg fruits and vegetables daily. 7) Avoid things with high carbohydrates. Sugar, potatoes and rice contain high carbohydrates. These increase fat. Be careful. 8) Instead of roti made of wheat flour only, roti made of mixed flour of wheat, soybean and gram is more beneficial. 9) Yogasanas have a special importance in controlling body weight. Practice Kapalbhati and Bhastrika regularly. 10) Go for a brisk walk for half an hour in the morning. It is the best way to lose weight. 11) Include more fiber-rich foods in your diet. Green vegetables and fruits contain more fiber. Eat fruits with their peel. Do not peel potatoes. The peel contains many nutrients. 12) Do not keep food items in a place where you often see them. Otherwise, you will keep eating while walking. If these food items are out of sight, you will think of eating only when your body feels the need. 13) Start drinking a glass of milk (cow's milk) as soon as you wake up early in the morning. This dose of protein will save you from the craving for a heavy breakfast. 14) For reducing the size of the stomach and waist, after getting up in the morning or before going to sleep at night, the abdomen above the navel should be steamed. For this, put a handful of carom seeds and a spoon of salt in a pan of water and let it boil. When steam starts rising, place a net or a sieve for filtering flour on it. Wet two small napkins or clothes in cold water, squeeze them, fold them and place them on the net one by one, heat them and place them on the stomach and warm them. Steaming for 10 minutes daily is sufficient. The size of the stomach will start reducing in a few days.
