Some Special Uses Of Amla

 


Easy method of drying Amla- The health-protecting properties found in green and fresh Amla can be obtained from dried Amla. But this is possible only when the right method is used for drying green Amla. It is worth remembering that by drying Amla using the right method, the Vitamin- 'C' found in it is not destroyed in large quantities but is preserved.

Method- Boil green ripe Amla lightly in hot water. Then when they become soft, break them and separate the seeds and dry the pulp in the sun. When it dries well, prepare a fine sieved powder and keep it in boxes.


Do not keep the prepared Amla powder in a moist place or a place with high heat, otherwise the Vitamin 'C' present in it will start decreasing.

Amla Jelly

Ingredients - Grated amla pulp 250 grams, sugar 250 grams, ground powder 10 grams, small pieces of cashew nuts 50 grams, raisins 100 grams, rose petals 50 grams.


Method - Put the amla pulp and sugar in a pressure cooker, put it on the gas and cover it. Note that water should not be added to it. When the first whistle comes, take it off. Amla and sugar will mix.
Add ground cardamom powder, small pieces of cashew nuts, raisins, rose petals etc. and mix well. This way the jelly is ready for consumption.

Method of consumption - Eat one big spoon of jelly every morning with milk, chewing it well.
