Hair In Winter Season

The cold air of this season can make your hair and scalp dry.

Lifestyle Guide

1. Drink plenty of water to protect your hair and scalp from dehydration.

2. Wear a hat while going out. Make sure it is not so tight that it disrupts blood circulation in your scalp and causes hair loss.

3. Oil your scalp and hair regularly. In the winter season, your scalp will become dry, forcing the sebaceous glands to produce even more sebum, and this can cause scalp irritation and dandruff.

4. Wash your hair with warm water.
Make sure the water is not too hot, or else it will strip off the natural oils from the hair.

5. If you feel that your hair is getting too dry, you can increase the amount of conditioner after shampooing.

6. Do not go out with wet hair. The cold weather can make your hair dry by sucking out the moisture. Allow the hair to dry naturally before going out.

Diet Plan

1. This season is the best for eating nuts and seeds. These are warm in nature and generate heat in the body. Eating nuts in winter will protect you from the cold, retain the moisture in your hair and also prevent you from frizziness.

2. Eat 8 almonds, 2 walnuts, 8 pistachios and 5 cashews after soaking them daily.
If you are watching your weight, eat these every other day or reduce the quantity.

3. Winter is the season for green leafy vegetables. Eat plenty of spinach, fenugreek leaves, bathua (chenopodium album).

4. Eat as many colourful fruits and vegetables as possible in this season, like carrots and sweet potatoes.
