Mixture of honey, lemon and cardamom- Add a pinch of cardamom and a few drops of lemon juice in half a teaspoon of honey.
Consume this syrup twice a day. You will get a lot of relief from cough and cold.

Lukewarm water- Drink lukewarm water as much as possible. The phlegm deposited in your throat will open and you will feel better.

Turmeric milk- In childhood, grandmother used to give turmeric milk to the children of the house to drink every day in winter.
Turmeric milk is very beneficial in cold because turmeric contains antioxidants which protect us from germs. Drinking it before sleeping at night gives quick relief. Anti-bacterial and anti-viral properties are present in turmeric which fights infection. Its anti-inflammatory properties provide relief in symptoms of cold, cough and flu.

Gargle with lukewarm water and salt- Mixing a pinch of salt in lukewarm water and gargling gives a lot of relief during cough and cold. It gives relief to the throat and also provides relief from cough. This is also a very old recipe.


Ginger and salt-
Cut ginger into small pieces and add salt to it. Eat it. Its juice will open your throat and salt will kill the germs.

Garlic- Fry garlic in ghee and eat it hot. It may taste bad but is absolutely great for health.


Honey and Brandy- Brandy is already known to warm the body. Mixing honey with it will have a great effect on cold.

Spiced Tea-
Mix ginger, basil, black pepper in your tea and drink it. Consuming these three elements gives a lot of relief in cough and cold.


Amla-
Amla is rich in vitamin-C which improves blood circulation and also contains anti-oxidants which increase your immunity.

Ginger Basil- Mix basil in ginger juice and consume it. Honey can also be added to it.

Black Pepper- If there is mucus along with cough, then mix half a teaspoon of black pepper with desi ghee and eat it.
