Introduction-
In India, the delivery process is usually completed at home by medicines or an expert woman (dai). Nowadays, a doctor is not required for delivery in villages. The details of calling a doctor are given below-
In pregnancy- If the fetus is not in the right position in the uterus of the pregnant woman; if she has swelling in her hands and feet, syphilis, gonorrhea, excessive bleeding, excess vomiting, etc., then a doctor should be called for such symptoms.
During delivery- If there is excessive bleeding during delivery; the perineum or the middle part of the anus of the delivery tract has been torn; only one hand or leg is coming out of the delivery tract; the pain has stopped, the umbilical cord has been wrapped around the neck of the child; she has become immobile due to labor pain; the child may not have come out even after an hour of discharge; the delivery may be delayed; if she is feeling faint or stiff frequently, then a doctor should be consulted.
Postpartum Delivery - If the placenta (flower) does not come out even after an hour of delivery and the baby has high fever, seizures, foul smelling discharge, swelling of breasts, excessive bleeding, etc., then a doctor should be called.
Newborn Baby- If a woman feels difficulty in breathing, her body turns blue, eyes burn, diseases related to anus, urethra or mouth, etc., then a doctor should be called immediately.
