Introduction
The Jamun tree is very big like a mango tree, about 20 to 25 meters high and its leaves are 2 to 6 inches long and 2 to 3 inches wide. The bark of the Jamun tree is white brown in color. Its leaves are like the leaves of mango and Maulsiri. The flowers of Jamun bloom in the month of April and the Jamun (fruit) ripens from July to August. The color of its raw fruit is green and the ripe fruit is purple, blue, black and dark pink from inside. The taste of Jamun is astringent, sweet and sour. It has one seed. Jamun is available in two types, small and big.
Big Jamun Tree: It is sweet, hot in nature, pale and laxative and destroys breathing, swelling, fatigue, diarrhea, phlegm and regurgitation.
Harmful effects
Consuming jamun in excess quantity can cause gas, fever, chest pain, cough, and diseases caused by it, and diseases caused by vata disorders. Do not consume its juice with milk.
Treatment for various diseases
1. For bile:
Mix 10 grams of jaggery in 10 ml of jamun juice and heat it on fire. After heating, its steam should be drunk.
2. Diarrhea of a pregnant woman:
At such times, jamun should be fed or 10-10 grams of rice and barley flour should be added to the decoction of jamun bark and fed to the child.
3. Oral diseases:
Cold water of the bark of any of the trees jamun, babool, ber and maulsiri should be taken and gargled with it and teeth should be cleaned daily with its toothpick. This strengthens the teeth and also cures oral diseases.
Jamun seed should be taken with water of 1 gram churan. This medicine should be taken after every four hours. Its effect will start showing after about 3 days.
4. Vomiting:
Burning the bark of the jamun tree in fire and feeding its ash with honey stops sour vomiting.
5. Cholera:
A patient suffering from cholera should be given 5 grams of jamun vinegar mixed with four times water at an interval of 1 hour. This vinegar should be used in the morning and evening even in case of stomach pain.
6. Pimples:
The seed of jamun should be rubbed and applied. This destroys pimples.
7. Excessive sweating:
Boil jamun leaves in water and take a bath, this will stop excessive sweating.
8. Burns:
Grind the bark of jamun in coconut oil and apply it 2-3 times on the burnt part to get relief.
9. Blisters on feet:
Wearing tight, new shoes or walking a lot causes blisters and wounds on feet. In such a case, rub the seed of jamun in water and apply it 2-3 times. This removes the blisters on the feet.
10. Nocturnal emission:
Eating powder of 4 jamun seeds with water in the morning and evening cures nocturnal emission.
11. Thinness of semen:
If the semen is thin, semen comes out with a little stimulation, then take 5 grams of powder of jamun seeds with hot milk every evening. This removes the thinness of semen and also increases the semen.
12. Frequent urination:
Grind 15 grams of jamun seeds and take 1-1 gram with water in the morning and evening to get relief from the disease of polyuria (frequent urination).
13. Impotence:
Eating the powder of the seed of jamun with warm milk every day cures impotence.
14. Toothache:
Burn the wood of jamun, maulshree or kachnar and grind its coal finely to make toothpaste. Massaging it on teeth and gums daily stops bleeding from gums.
15. Fever:
Soaking jamun in vinegar and eating it every morning and evening calms down hives.
16. Strengthening teeth:
Put the bark of jamun in water and boil it, filter it and rinse your mouth with this water every morning and evening. This strengthens the teeth.
17. Pyorrhea:
Burn the bark of jamun tree in fire and mix a little rock salt and alum in it and grind it finely to make toothpaste. Brushing with it daily cures pyorrhea.
18. Prolapse of anus:
Take 20-20 grams of jamun, peepal, bad and behada and boil them in 500 grams of water. Clean the anus after defecation daily and wash the anus by filtering the decoction. This cures prolapse of anus.
19. Mouth ulcers:
In case of wounds, ulcers etc. in the mouth, making a decoction of jamun bark and gargling with it is beneficial.
Grind 50 grams of jamun leaves with water and mix it in 300 ml of water. Then filter this water and gargle. This cures ulcers.
20. Diarrhoea:
Grind the kernel of jamun and make a powder, then mix this powder with buttermilk and use it to stop the continuous passing of stool.
Using fresh jamun juice with goat milk provides relief in diarrhoea.
Grind the kernels of jamun and mango and make a powder. Consuming it with roasted myrobalan helps a lot in diarrhea.
Drinking jamun vinegar in the amount of 40 grams to 80 milliliters is beneficial in diarrhea.
Diarrhea stops by drinking jamun syrup. Drinking jamun juice mixed with black salt and a little sugar is beneficial.
Diarrhea stops by drinking the juice obtained after grinding jamun with a little sugar candy in the amount of 2 teaspoons.
Diarrhea stops by grinding the kernels of jamun and making a powder and mixing it with sugar and consuming it.

Grind 3 leaves of jamun with rock salt and make small pills. By consuming it in the form of 1 tablet every morning, loose motion (diarrhea) is cured.
Drinking decoction of jamun tree bark with honey cures diarrhea and dysentery.
21. Vomiting in pregnant women:
Make decoction of jamun and mango bark in equal quantity. Adding little honey to it and drinking it stops vomiting caused by bile.
22. Ear ache:
In case of ear ache, applying jamun oil is beneficial.
23. Ear discharge:
Mixing honey in the juice of jamun and soft green leaves of mango and pouring it drop by drop in the ear stops pus flowing from the ear.
