The Story Of Health

Fifty years ago, health wasn’t the trendy topic it is today. Maybe we just weren’t very interested in what was a boring subject back then, but we also didn’t have much access to information about it beyond what we might occasionally hear from a grandparent or a doctor when we were sick.
Fast forward to today, and much of the content we’re bombarded with is health-related. Hidden between selfies on your social media feeds, work emails, and TV shows, you’re sure to find ads promoting the latest miracle remedy for a health problem, a list of superfoods and their magical benefits, or a self-styled health guru who offers health wisdom in the form of a detox diet or a plan to get a six-pack in six weeks (or less!). From the sound of things, it seems many of these ‘experts’ have cracked the code to good health. And yet, we still find ourselves weighed down by illness and poor health.

Fortunately, along with the somewhat questionable information, rapid progress has also been made, thanks to the tireless work of health and nutrition scientists, researchers, and authentic health aficionados, or biohackers.
The perspective has shifted from simply increasing longevity, to the ability to make choices to live a vibrant and fulfilling life, to a life well lived.

Before we continue our journey, I want to take you on a whirlwind tour of the story of health. The evolution of the modern health narrative is fascinating, and provides context for a variety of choices you can make today.
